<font><font size="2">The Britannia Heritage Shipyards is the place to see proud old fishing boats, go on a scavenger hunt and learn about the history of fishing in Steveston. This is the oldest remaining structure on the Fraser River, the former Britannia Cannery and Shipyard has been recognized as a National Historic Site. The Shipyard is an eight-acre historic park with nine colorful heritage buildings. <br /><br />Discover BC's maritime history through guided tours, exhibits and displays. Britannia also offers a wide selection of programs and activities with maritime, woodworking, ecological, cultural and archeological themes.<br /><br />Please call for holiday hours.<br />Tours and group bookings by appointment<br /><br />How To Get There: South foot of Railway Ave., Steveston You can get to Steveston by following the Steveston Highway west as far as it goes. The Steveston exit from Hwy. 99 is just on the north side of the George Massey Tunnel.
