hey everyone, I’m currently in grade 12 and I’m from Toronto, Ontario. I’ve been accepted to couple of ontario universities, such as: UTSC, UOIT, BROCK, YORK, WATERLOO for Health/Life Sciences (which is basically Bachelor of Science). I also applied to UBC when I heard about it being a really good university. I applied both campuses, UBC VANCOUVER and UBC OKANAGAN. Unfortunately, I got rejected from UBC VANCOUVER even with a 84.6% avg.. But, I got accepted to UBC OKANAGAN. I want to move to B.C. cuz of the nice weather (at least it’s better than toronto). I’m probably gonna live on res. for the first year and then my parents will possibly move to surrey, which is only 40 minutes away from UBC Vancouver. I’m determined to go to UBC OKANAGAN and live in Kelowna as it itself is a beautiful city. But, I was just wondering, is UBC OKANAGAN even a good campus? I mean since this campus is not in Vancouver itself, it kinda looks like it just has the name UBC in front of it but no one really cares about it. AND ALSO, If anyone of you can tell me that if I will be able to transfer into Bachelor of Science at UBC Vancouver for the second year? All i wanted to know was, is it easy to transfer from UBC Okanagan to UBC Vancouver, Bachelor of Science Program? What are the conditions one has to meet, and what is the difficulty level of UBC Okanagan in compared to that of UBC Vancouver? If you can help me with this question, I’d really be thankful to you. Thanks!

Hi, there. I am perplexed as to why the majority of Canadian Universities that provide a BBA or a Bcom degree have very similar prerequisites compared to Capilano’s. For example: Even though UBC offers a Bcom, and SFU offers a BBA they BOTH include calculus courses in their programs.
I find it strange that a University that is offering a comprehensive 4 year degree such as a (Capilano) BBA does not even have principles of math 12 as a prerequisite.
Why are the requirements and layout so different at Cap than from other BC leading institution’s such as UVIC, UNBC, UBC, SFU etc. (all of which require calculus).

From the research I have gathered BBA’s and Bcom’s are supposed to be very similar but Cap’s is pretty different…..
I live really close to Cap and was planning to either do their 2 year commerce transfer to UBC or their 4 year BBA.

What should I do? (I want to go to Capilano regardless).

Thanks so much

Do you have any habits for stress-relieving? Such as nail-biting, thumb-sucking, nose-picking, hair-twisting or pulling, tooth-grinding and picking at skin. Nail-biting is the most common of the typical “nervous habits”. Some kids and adults may bite their nails when they are in times of stress or excitement, or in times of boredom or inactivity. But it’s not a healthy habit.

There is no monthly interest payment date on the contract.
Date of first installment payment, (Principal + interest) is approximately 1 year from the signing of my contract.
Demand loan contracts signed by other fishermen around the same time showed a monthly interest payment date on their contract,(agreement).
The lending policy did change at RBC from one payment (principal + interest) per year for fishing loans to principal paid yearly with interest paid monthly. This lending practice was in place when I approached RBC.
Only problem is the loans officer was a replacement who wasn’t familiar with these type of loans. She never informed me verbally or in writing about this new criteria.

So I was thinking about what I’ve done to better myself for 2009 and I came up with squat. In my frantic attempt to contain that scary voice inside my head, I ran through all possible activities I partook in the last 5 years and recalled a few snowboarding trips I participated in high school… which led to… o.m.g snowboarding was so much fun!

And thus panic attack avoided. Decided to learn to snowboard and am planning to become a snowboarder starting this year.

So as a complete newb to snowboarding, would anyone shed some light this way?

where is a good starting point?? I’ve visited some websites and I see there are some lessons available at mt seymour but I need help getting the load down for the sport. what kind of equipment I need, which brands are good, how are lessons conducted, what to avoid, what to keep in mind… etc… I have no idea where to start so any advice would be awesome!

Thanks
