THE SURREY COMPASSION CLUB The (SCC) was created out of necessity and mounted frustration by the founder, Lyle Patrick O’Sullivan as a direct result of not being able to get a good clean consistent supply of Medical BC Bud, at a reasonable cost, in the Surrey/Langley or Delta area. paying $ 10.00 per gram, was becoming a financial hardship. There were many days where I had to make a decision to pay the Light Bill or buy a 1/4 of BC. The trips to the Vancouver Compassion Club (BCCCS) and Medicinal Cannabis Resource Center (McRc) (now closed), were becoming too tiresome, and the reality was that paying $ 9.00 per Gram at the BCCCS was not any better than buy from the dope dealer on the street, and more and more people who are in need were encouraging Lyle to start a Compassion Club, and now here we are, The Surrey Compassion Club. Now that marijuana is legal for medical purposes for all Canadians to help alleviate the pain and suffering from illness, we realize that people who wish to use medical marijuana want a process that is as easy as possible to obtain medical marijuana. The SCC will help to fulfill those needs. We feel that it is important to provide this service so that all Canadians have access to a readily available source of medical marijuana.
The SCC follows the Guidelines for Community-Based Distribution of Medical Cannabis in Canada ( MEDCAN), which has been adopted by all Compassion Clubs in Canada. MISSION STATEMENT
We will provide information and education relating to the therapeutic use of cannabis and cannabis related products, and facilitate access to a consistent, safe, and dependable source of medical cannabis products for people suffering from ailments for which cannabis has been shown to be effective. WE HEAL FROM THE INSIDE OUT Harm Reduction is a key componiant of the SCC and our definition of Harm Reduction may differ from that of the establishment. We firmly believe that if we can show you the benefits of smoking a joint rather than buying that 40 oz’er, we have reduced the harm you are doing to your body, your mind and soul, and greatly reduced the harm you have done to your family, friends and society in general. Once you become centered as a person on the inside, then you will shine as a person on the outside. Please “.contact us” to make arrangements for paperwork and verification before coming to visit us to ensure we will be able to serve you. The Surrey Compassion Club (SCC) is a for profit organization established in 2007. Profits go directly to our Members, in reduced prices, normally we sell our Bud at $ 5.00 to $ 7.00 per Gram and we provide free samples and free editable, to our members when we have excess Bud. Now that the Agriculture Centre is up and running there should be lots of free samples coming our way. We will provide information and education relating to the therapeutic use of cannabis and cannabis related products, and facilitate access to a consistent, safe, and dependable source of medical cannabis products for people suffering from ailments for which cannabis has been shown to be effective.
The SCC believes that ALL Adults, who use marijuana for whatever reason Stress/Anxiety/Frustration/Every Day Living and yes for Enjoyment should have a safe consistent supply of marijuana at a reasonable cost and should have easy access to the product. Health Canada’s MMAR (Marijuana Medical Access Regulations) provide an exemption from the Law for people who need to possess and grow cannabis for medicinal purposes. These Regulations protect Permit Holders from prosecution for possessing cannabis, but the current regulation do not allow for any reasonable type of access except growing your own, which is not a viable option for most. The SCC Agriculture Centre, has the capacity right now to produce 500 plants for and on behalf of our members. We are always looking for more members to who wish us to grow their bud for them.
We are currently looking at opening an Office in Walley, in Nov/Dec and once this happens we will become much more efficient and effective, and we can really work on the Harm Reduction component and the Education component, which will be so important to the success of the SCC.
