what kind of info is obtained from a security/background check?

obviously any serious disturbances or more minor ones of breaking the law can be extracted, as well as places of residence, employment and education history, but how far do they go as far as digging into a person's past? Do they obtain things like finances, bank accounts, medical records. (I have a clean record and am not concerned but I'm just curious as to how much privacy an individual can really have)

CHRP DESIGNATION - IS IT WORTH IT?

I'm thinking about taking the Human Resources diploma program (probably through Ashton College). I am also considering taking the national exam to obtain the CHRP designation after and am just wondering if it's worth the time, cost and effort. Are there any people who have completed it and if so, what are the employment prospects? Does it really open up a lot of doors in HR??

10 MINUTE SOLUTION workout DVDs

There seem to be many different series of 10 MINUTE SOLUTION DVDs. Each is a different type of workout with 4 or 5 10-min. segments that can be done separately or the whole DVD. I'm wondering which stores in Vancouver have these available so I don't have to order them online? A few years ago, I stumbled upon the 10 Minute Solution Kickboxing Bootcamp by Keli Roberts at Zellers and I love it!

Does anyone know whether any other places in town cary any of these???
