Let's talk about discrimination in the work force, especially towards immigrants? - Mainly EI's, Sikh's, etc...I truly wonder if Canada is more of a closet racist country than the US is??

I get motivated whenever I focus on the negatives of life. Whether if it's the negatives in my personal life or the negatives on a more broad societal level. I usually take on the burden of struggling family members and most of my personal relationships with friends to extract the energy that fuels my endeavor.
Anyone else???

What do you all think??? Which is the better vacationing spot? - The US or Canada?
Also, if everyone had a choice of where they can work/start a business and raise their children in--which country would it be? Personally, considering the States has a lot of the attractions (Hollywood, Vegas, NY), I think it would be better to vacation in the states, rather than to live here while raising your children. After being up in Canada, Toronto once and Vancouver at least seven times; it's undoubtedly a "lesser of the two evils" so I think raising children in Canada will produce more stable children. I'm talking psychologically, culturally, socially, and just being an overall good human being. Of course my perspective is a bit skewed so I wanted to see and hear what your views were on this?

I have a couple questions that I'd like to be answered if you can assist in any way.
1. How much is the annual cost of full time attendance at UBC in one of their graduate programs? - I'm saying like the cost of living and school fees. 2. What's the average rent price for a one bedroom near the campus?? 3. Does Canada offer anything like "Scholarship Programs" for international students? Average cost for International students here is like 40-50k per year, for public institutions (with cost of living etc...) - I'm hoping BC's a little bit cheaper than International student costs here. 4. If I'm just a student for a few years, do I have to pay all the taxes that regular Canadian citizens have to pay as well? That's about it. Thanks for your responses!! |
