I absolutely agree with Ron and Casey's messages about Ringo Taylhardat/Vida Photo. I got married in August 2005 and I have yet to receive my book and the remaining digital photos.  It has been an absolute nightmare and this is just the brief of it.  He has not returned my phone calls in three weeks and now his website and email is down and his phone numbers are no longer in service.  If anyone knows of his whereabouts, please send post message. It would be much appreciated.

I got married September of this year and have still not recieved anything from Ringo. I know how you feel it really sucks. The story he told me was that a bride knocked over his hard drive and my pictures were not backed up so he lost them. He waited 3 months to tell me this telling me the whole time that he did have my pictures finally when I went down to his shop he wrote me a cheque that bounced and now just like you I can't get a hold of him either. Email is full, phone is full I agree that if anyone know's where Ringo can be found to please let us know. He has done this to, to many people and he needs to be stopped.

 his ass. I already have a judgement against him foe $12000. But having trouble collecting in small claims court. Lets go to supreme court..

Ringo is suppose to be the President of the Vancouver Photo Club. But when you read the minutes of the meeting he very seldom shows up.  I am currently searching for him and I will find him. Would also appreciate any help in locating him.

Please HELP!  We booked our wedding with Ringo last year for 07/07/07.  Made 2 payments and was in contact with him up until March 07.  My Fiancée decided to touch base with him a couple of days ago and was shocked to find his number not in service and webpage down.  She has been in tears ever since.  With our wedding only 3 weeks away, we are screwed to find a photographer especially on such a popular date. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Stac, Ron E&D,  I am sorry to hear of your situations too. I think we should all discuss this further outside this forum.  I have a couple contacts that are trying to help me locate some information as to his whereabouts.  Apparently, his is still doing work but not under VidaPhoto.  He shot a wedding three weeks ago.  Ron, I like your idea.

It is one thing to defraud someone of their money but to ruin the wedding day in the process is absolutley unforgiveable. I actually felt sorry for him at one point when he said someone knocked over his hard drive and ruined the disc. Things happen. But then he told a few others the same lie after the date that he told me that excuse. Its Not the money... Its the principal. I have a judgement against him which you are all welcome to see. I am going to schedule a payment hearing in Chilliwack Provincial Court in the next few weeks and will let you all know when it will be held. He is compelled to appear at this hearing and it would be a good idea if you all show up there as witnesses. It will help my case and set a guideline for any other cases against him. Lets stiop this idiot and put him right out of business once and for all. By the way...... My judgement is for $12000.00 and I am willing to donate it for legal expenses should I collect to accomplish this .

Sounds like a crook. Sorry so many of you lost precious memories. Have you thought of going to the better business bureau and possibly the local news?? I am sure they would be able to track him down for you and I am sure they would love the story for publicity.

ok.  We are finally getting somewhere. We now have 3 unhappy customers against Vida photo. We need at least 3 more to pursue fraud charges and monetary damages.  Let me know who else is out there. Need to stop this SCAM artist.

I am totally with you Ron on this one. He wrote us cheques that he knew were going to bounce and not just that he ruined my wedding day, and he is going to ruin E & D's wedding day if we can't find him. I will email CTV and tell them my story maybe they can help us locate him. Did he tell anyone else that he took his hard drive in to be fixed, and that he would help you make an album from pictures that other people took at the wedding. That's nice and all but I don't have any nice pictures from my wedding, none of my family or my kids or even my wedding party. Man it make's me so mad just talking about I could ring his neck!!!

How did you all book Ringo?

Was it through referrals, or some of his own ads?

Honestly I found him on the internet. I checked the BBB but there was nothing listed on him at that time.

Ya mee to . Found him on the internet on Vancouver photo club. They recommended him. Then I found out after it all went bad that he was the president of the club. Geeeesh I was probably talking to him personally and he recommended himself. What a sucker I am huh?

I just might sue the Vancouver photo club also since he is the president, will look into it. I am really pissed now

STAC  Ringo told me in Dec 2006 that in August of 2006 that a customer knocked over his hard drive and lost all my pics. We got married Sept 2005.  He is a scammer for sure.

I think its time to report him to the commercial crime unit.

Jess and I are meeting tomorrow at Chilliwack to initiate a plan. I will apply for a summons for a hearing while I am there and let you all know when Ringo will be attending the hearing.. He will be very hard to locate to serve papers so you can take advantage of the situation. I urge you all to file against him before I report him to the authorities sometime later on.

Still haven't heard anything from Olsen On Your side. I really want to put this to an end so other people don't get hurt like the rest of us. He has to be listed somewhere if he is still working?? Chilliwack Provincial Court. If he doesnt show he will be arrested and he knows that so it should be interesting if a few people show up with some documents to serve him.
