For awhile Ive been taking yoga and have always bought my wear at lululemon but lately Ive found the workers there quite rude and the prices are becoming quite outrageous.

My friend sudgested a brand called Tonic and showed me a pair of pants she bought from the brand,
I went on the website but there arent any store adresses.
Does anyone know of any stores that carry the brand Tonic or of any other yoga wear brands?

There are a lot of different stores that sell yoga clothes: Karma (on W. 4th), Lotuswear (there's an outlet on Hastings, near Clark and stores on W. 4th, in W.Van).

Karma: http://www.karmaathletics.com/main.swf

Lotuswear: http://www.lotusyogawear.com/

No, yoga is a way of living. But corporations will make a profit out of anything and so they create an "industry" out of yoga and sell "Fashion". See the difference ?

There is a Toronto documentary about that. Well, how yoga in general is a booming with opportunities to make large dough. They also interviewed Bikram and explored some idea of 'yoga competition'? Didn't get to watch it though.

Actually, clothing sort of depends on the type of a practice you do. On some slower paced practices winners clothings would suffice. However with some of other practices, you should choose fabrics that would last longer with wash after wash. Mats on other hand.. I would buy them from Lulu, or any other stores that offer mats made from organic rubbers. There are artices floating around on how yoga mats made from synthetic rubber causes cancer. I also bought my mat from winners and i can SMELL that toxic plastic.

Does anyone remember the 80's/90's when aerobic workout gear included shiny pantyhose? Those were the days.

You can find yoga wear anywhere. I don't do yoga, but I wear a lot of yoga pants because it's so comfortable. Try activewear section at Winners. Much cheaper!

On the Tonic site there is a "Store Locator" page. You are required to submit your name and address and they will get back to you.

it's an exercise, so is thai chi and there are cultures in it, though most people don't realize yoga was originally dev for improving reproduction organs and NOT fitness.. women like following the trends anything make them sweat and lose weight.. the gayest thing is to see a guy doing that stuff, super super gay
