Roberto Luongo formally requested today to be traded.

He noted that he is not happy working in an NHL city that is the farthest away from his home in Florida, making his family life next to impossible.

He also stated that he is unhappy playing on a team where he feels he is the only productive member. He said to gathered media that he did not want to go through his NHL career without winning a Stanley Cup, and that he could never acheive that goal while playing in Vancouver.

He thanked Vancouver fans for their kindness and support.

There is not a single word about it on the official Canucks Trades, Rumours and Proposalsdiscussion board. Stop spreading BS.

I know, that's why I believed it at first. The part about him being the only productive player and that he doesnt want to spend his career without winning a cup, which obviously will never happen with Vancouver. So true so true...

I am unable to provide a link. I want to keep my job.

Do you really think it would show up on a Canucks operated discussion board?

Watch the papers.

Like I said. Just remember you heard it here first.

You mean something like the Sport section on News1130 where there is nothing either?

Why have the 'gathered media' not reported any of this?

Yes, it's true! I also heard that Luongo will be replaced by Kirk McLean and Pavel Bure will be coming out of retirement to make a run for the Cup.
