SO many people made fake relief collections for the Tsunami that hit not long ago, that no one trusts any charity.

nope

I donate my money directly to the people who need it..
thus I eliminate the middle man who usually take some of the money to cover his costs of running the organization..

the site is called Kiva.com

Sure. If they want our help. They probably don't want us there so we don't discover the genocide that's going on. We just have to wait and watch what they do.

Well, it depends...

IF I have leftover money after deducting, QPP, GST, PST, Union dues, Rent, Groceries, Carbon Tax, I.C.B.C, Gasoline, E.I., Credt cards, BC hydro, Tellus, Community tax..etc.

hmmmm....probably not.

Try the U.N. or the E.U. they got tons of cash to spare!

what relief aid workers report happens when they do aid in hotspots like burma is the military comes up and takes all the supplies, promising to distribute it but when the workers ask the people if they got rice and water, they ask "what rice, what water?"

most of aid stolen by the military goes to a warehouse guarded by the army and only their families get aid.

however, anyone who tries to aid the people has a paramilitary stick a gun in their face while masked men steal their supply of aid.

so, anyone giving the junta the supplies should not be assured that the people are getting aid.

why the military is doing this: well, the more people that die from disease and starvation by saturday, the less resistance to them banning democracy and getting rid of suu kyi.

in fact, they really hoped the cyclone flooded her place.

Ya I never understood having to negotiate with them or North Korea when we offer free aid and all they do is lay down a whole bunch of ground rules. Nobody has balls in diplomatic circles. I would just tell the head General Dickhead. "hey numptynutz do you want the friggin help or not? Yes or No

the un voted against letting countries land unannounced and dumping care packages in areas that need the aid.

IMHO the reason is you don't want to annoy the generals by doing what you do in africa and used to do in south america until the nuns got murdered.

and you won't do crazy things like that korean evangelist humanitarian group did in iraq only to have the more arrogant evangelists shot.

so, this means christian missionaries need to avoid burma and let the governments haggle with the generals.

It's not right. People who need aid around the world should get it and there should be a group that enforces this. This should become an "international" matter and not a matter for their corrupt government. Bastards.

Can't the millionaires help out? Instead of watching their money grow, can they not give a little of that to the needy in the world?
