CHINESE MEDIA HAVE GRILLED CAMPBELL OVER THE HOMELESS AND POVERTY ISSUE HERE IN BC AND HOW THIS IS PLAYING OUT FOR THESE OVERPRICED SPORTS EVENTS CALLED THE OLYMPICS.
WILL ANTI POVERTY GROUPS BLOCK THE HIGHWAY? WHAT SECURITY FORCES WILL BE WATCHING FOR IS NOT ANTI POVERTY GROUPS BUT TACTICAL OPERATIONS BY CLANDESTINE GROUPS UTILIZING TONS OF ROAD BUKDING EXPLOSIVES 75% TNT THAT COULD BE USED IN CAUSING DEVASTING SITUATIONS ALONG THE HIGHWAY. CANADIAN FORCES AND SUPPORTING POLICE FORCES HAVE IN PLACE MAPPED OUT GPS SURVEILANCE ROUTES THAT WILL BE PATROLLED IN HIGH TECH CHOPPERS. IT REMAINS AN UNKNOWN IF ANY OF THESE TERRORIST ACTIVITIES WILL TAKE PLACE AND THAT IS WHY MILLIONS OF YOUR TAX DOLLARS HAVE BEEN SPENT ON SECURITY. PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS ARE THE WAY TO GO AS VIOLENCE BEGETS THE SAME. THE UNFOLDING EVENTS REGARDING THE OLYMPICS SCAM WILL BE OF INTEREST TO OBSERVE. BE SAFE... IN PEACE |

Speaking of the hyway I see Pemberton is thinking of calling the music fest quits, I guess the 40 plus thousand was a little tooooo scary for the regulars

I am quite sure the millions of tourism dollars the festival brings in would trump any profit the crop could haul in.

Good on the regulars I say! Pristine, quiet little place like that doesn't need that kind of sh*t. Let it be pristine and quiet for 361 days of the year. For 4 days let it be a meeting place of world wide musical talent. Canada needs to get an annual festival on the map. So why not have it here in B.C.? Think of all the money that comes in. |

Merritt tends to cater to only one specific genre of music. The Pemberton festival had amuch wider appeal to different tastes. Something for everybody.
Would be nice to have Pemberton mentioned annually in the same breath as Glastonbury, Coachella, Bonnaroo... |

IN PEACE Wow, I thought we lived in a democratic society. There was an election on this issue and more than enough polls have indicted the majority of the people (i.e. democracy) are in favour of the Olympics but we still have these barely noticeable individuals who want to impose their thinking on the rest of us. It's either their way or the highway. They have some major control issues and would be more suited to living in a communist country. I wonder how many books they burn that don't conform to their beliefs? |
