"With the latest three deaths, the number of Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan has now risen to 93. Canada launched its Afghan mission in February 2002, and about 2,500 Canadian soldiers are now serving in the war-torn country, most of them in the volatile south."

Yes it\'s a new world. A soldier dies today and it\'s front page news. In the earlier world wars they were walking over the nameless bodies.

Since when does the news mean anything. How much of Canadian news is actually news that affects your life? Every single death leaves a crying mother & family somewhere, just wait for it to happen to you. Times are no different, there is just more media available today.

Back then news took longer to get to a mass.

so when it did get to a mass, and the process it took to get it to everyone.. it went through many hands and many opinions to make sure it was said a vertain way and backed-up.

now? you only need a cam phone and the press will post anything you say, even if you lie and won't check it out.

They won't do anything you say, they have to make sure it will sell first.
