Vancouver court case today had a verdict of no jail time. The female judge determined that the mother was stressed. The mother just threw her infant [less than a year old] into a pool [child drowned] and said a homeless person did it. The infant wasn't a perfect specimen for her...not to the mothers liking. Had certain medical problems. Oh Well...might as well be in China I guess where human life is cheap and of no value. Listen up Morgantaller, Chinada loves you

Hey, in China its common practice for mothers to drown their babies if they are females because females have no value as humans in Chinese culture. They also eat fetuses too, they say it gives them a glowing complexion.

Well it's not like they ever had a reputable system of justice in the first place. You can't place something into disrepute that's already there. They haven't lost anything. We've clearly lost our bearings here. Vigilantism is the natural next step , given the charade that the "administration of justice" has become.

Why does a society have to have a justice system in the first place? Not vengeance - we could leave that 'squaring up' of things to the concerned parties.

Well there is a simple reason for it , why society becomes involved : to protect itself from repeat performances of any crimes.

That's why there are prescribed penalties. Penalties serve a dual function one of them serves as deterrance to prevent crime.

If there is no deterrance - why should anybody 'obey' a 'law' and a justice system that doesn't even respect itself?

This is not the first time , that our 'learned' justices let people get off with murder or attempted murder..

A few years back, a Palestinian mother , holding her handicapped child in her arms , chucked it over the railing of the Capillano Suspension Bridge.

It's a slippery downward slope from here on in. When the life of the individual has no meaning and no value it is the beginning of the end for all of us. Euthanasia for the poor and elderly can't be far behind. What better way to lighten the taxation burden than to eliminate the reason for the "waste." Little Goat, the subject of this post is about a case of infanticide and a tragic legal system. An East Indian mother who cast her baby away to drown in a pool,claiming it was a street person. She was a liar and the female[feminist] judge metted out just a slap on the wrist and no sentence. That is what I posted. Is there a problem.If I make mention about China along the way and it's justified I will as in this case it was reasonable[as to the lack of protection] for the unborn and small children in China. What's your problem..grow up and get a life!
