http://www.usopen.org/en_US/news/photos/20...0556907593.html "It was tough for me to play against Liezel, but Leander was so good with me," Black said. "He calmed me a lot and said he had my back at all times. "All thanks to Leander. He pulled me through." "She won the match for us," Paes said. Black fired a service winner to give her and Paes a set point and the Indian star poached a backhand volley smash to win the set. "It was amazing to pull that set out," Black said. "It gave us a great lift." |

thats right - "Paes completes career mixed doubles Slam with US Open title" - which means he has won All 4 Grand Slams. The victory completes a career mixed doubles Grand Slam for Paes, who won the French Open and Wimbledon alongside American Lisa Raymond in 1999 and the Wimbledon and Australian Open crowns in 2003 with US star Martina Navratilova. "It was in the back of my mind that I hadn't won this one," Paes said. "I woke up this morning with a purpose. I woke up really fired up." Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image! |

there is nothing surprising about this. it's not like paes just came out of nowhere. he's been around for a long time and is very accomplished.

Who cares about "doubles". 1v1 is the only way to prove yourself in any game.

people dont understand just how damaging this is for the self esteem of young whites. in our own country, we should be protected from the billions who will do anything to survive. we need to recognize the threat.

What a waste since such talent will be used only to sell insecticide, air conditioning and air freshener.

dumbest topic ever.
are your own personal achievements so absent that you have to cling this guy's minor success. he didn't "win" the US Open. he and his partner won the US Open MIXED DOUBLES title. that's about as glamorous as a bowling trophy. |

Whats more likely folks? What do you think is going on with this guest and other negative attitudes? Is it better to celebrate success and be inspired OR put others down and feel better in your dreams? |
