This month is htat part of the year, to forget all worries, forgive all were bad to us,be good to our families, friends and strangers. This tradition of Christmas is slowly disappearing -thanks to the influx of many other type of people. But why should we forsake our traditions ,just because it offends some people? No Christmas play in schools because it offends some. No carol singing- because it offends some, No greeting of our own friends 'Merry Christmas- because it offends some, No naming of Christmas tree as such, because it offends some, and renaming it as "holiday tree', No Christmas holidays-only winter holidays because it offends some. These people, who are getting offended,do they reciprocate the same sentiments in their countries? Not at all. In afct, they demean us by arresting us, when you eat outside ,during the month of Ramzan.
So why should we bend our backs for these ungrateful people? If they feel offended ..who cares? Come along guys- don't care about these whiners. celebrate this best part of the year with your famalis ,friends, and well wishers. Let the whiners whine a bit more. Greet your friends MERRY CHRISTMAS. Plant a Christmas tree in your house.Be merry. How to Spread Christmas Cheer ------------------------------------ The Christmas season is a very busy time for most folks. Busy Moms are cooking and baking, sales clerks are working late and letter carriers are swamped. You can help others relax a little and enjoy the Christmas spirit by spreading Christmas cheer. Here are a few tips to get you started. Step1 Decorate the outside of your house right after Thanksgiving. Some people will groan about it, but a house that's beautifully decorated with lights goes a long way to spread Christmas cheer. Step2 Play Christmas carols on the radio when driving and sing along with them. Roll down your window so others can hear the Christmas carols, too. At home, turn off the TV and put on some wonderful Christmas CDs or DVDs. Sing along with the music at home. Step3 Greet other shoppers with a heartfelt "Merry Christmas"(even if they greet you with a "Happy Holidays") as you walk through the store. Don't forget to say "Merry Christmas" to sales clerks and at the checkout, too. If someone says "Happy Holidays" to you, answer with "Merry Christmas!" to spread more cheer. Step4 Carry pocketfuls of spare change. Put money in every Salvation Army kettle you encounter. There is no better way to spread Christmas cheer than sharing with others less fortunate. Step5 Bake Christmas cookies (or buy them) and take them to work with you. Share cookies and Christmas cheer with your fellow workers. Step6 Buy inexpensive gifts for those hard working people who serve us. The garbage man, the letter carrier and the newspaper carrier all deserve to be remembered at Christmas. Step7 Spread Christmas cheer to your neighbors by baking a few goodies for them. Wrap the cookies in colorful plastic wrap and take them to your neighbors' house to share in the Christmas spirit. Step 8 Attend any church near your home, with your whole family. It will boost the Christmas spirit in you,and the children will enjoy it. |

Please just say Merry Christmas
I am so sick of the phrase “Happy Holidays”!!!! Why shouldn’t I say MERRY CHRISTMAS? ….because I might offend someone? …really? Its a day of the year, December 25th, and we call it Christmas!! December 25th is still and will continue to be CHRISTMAS no matter what you believe. The wonderful fact is that this is the day that we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Whether you have chosen to accept Christ or not the day, December 25th, is still called CHRISTMAS. If you do not celebrate or believe in Christmas, I care because I would like you to know the love the Christ has for you, but I DO NOT CARE if it offends you that I say Merry Christmas!!! |

" NO HAPPY HOLIDAYS" BY JOYCE J.BLIGE
I can't believe After all this time I'm in love with a man Who can never be mine And just to think I believe one day you'd really leave Like you said you would Cause you don't love her But your little girl really needs you, oh 1 - Christmas you weren't with me New Year's Eve you were not around Valentine's came and went Makes me wonder where your time was spent Fireworks on the Fourth of July Thanksgiving was another lie Your family has never met me And you've never met mine, no happy holiday I have to let go of this feeling Being with you deprives me of a true love I can't go on living this life Without being number one This is finally goodbye I pray to God you live a happy life Cause loving you just isn't right Make her your wife Repeat 1 I wish I had known The situation from the start Now it's complicated Because I gave you my heart Honestly I held on I held on for dear life For my ego, my pride But what goes around, come around But maybe next time I'll be on the other side Hmm, oh, yeah, oh Last time little didi, di You're gone do, do, do, dum Do do, do, do, do ooh, hey oh Repeat 1 |

Is it so wrong to go around saying Merry Christmas when we live in a country that is still mostly Christian? I for one wouldn't be offended if a Jewish person told me Happy Chanukah. If that is what they believe, let them show it, let them get excited about it. The important thing is that people are happy when celebrating an important holiday. We shouldn't worry that people celebrate different holidays. That's their choice. But if I want to say Merry Christmas, I should be able to without any worries. Instead of getting offended when someone wishes you a happy something that you don't celebrate, smile and be glad that they have something they believe in. This Christmas season I started saying Merry Christmas more often as I was doing my shopping. I was down in Orange County for the holiday and felt the need to spread the Christmas cheer for all to hear. I might have said it to one person that didn't believe, but is that such a horrible thing? |

It all started in the USA, when the Jewish businessmen, who have captured the American businesses, don't wanted the festive season to be called as Christmas season. They started substituting it with the phrase 'Happy Holidays",and since they were in a upper hand in the American politics, the politecians too agreed to change the season to 'Holidays'. Slowly, this trend was caught up in Canada too, and here, the Muslims make a great fuss about Christmas in schools, and in business houses. Now, the Annual Toronto Christmas tree lighting ceremony was changed into winter tree lighting ceremony' to please these terrorists. Wrong. Christians were the first to be against Christmas. Christmas is based on pagan ideas, after all. American Xmas Traditions -- America's settlers (the "founding fathers" of so-called "Protestant America") rightfully considered Christmas a "popish" holiday. In fact, it was only in the early 1800s that several founding members of the New York Historical Society "invented" Christmas. Before then, it was illegal in colonial Massachusetts to even take December 25th off work. Christmas was forbidden as "unseemly to ye spiritual welfare of ye community." (It was banned in Massachusetts in 1659, and this law remained on the books for 22 years. In Boston, public schools stayed open on December 25th until as late as 1870!) It wasn't until 1836 that any state declared Christmas a holiday (Alabama), and then there were no more state declarations until the Civil War. It was not until 1885 that all federal workers were given Christmas Day off. The so-called Xmas customs and traditions were later concocted more for commercial purposes than for religious. Quoting from a 12/23/83 USA TODAY article about Christmas: "A broad element of English Christianity still considered Christmas celebration a pagan blasphemy. The Puritans, Baptists, Quakers, Presbyterians, Calvinists and other denominations brought this opposition to early New England and strong opposition to the holiday lasted in America until the middle of the 18th century." Henry Ward Beecher, a Congregationalist, wrote in 1874 of his New England boyhood: "To me Christmas is a foreign day, and I shall die so. When I was a boy I wondered what Christmas was. I knew there was such a time, because we had an Episcopal church in our town, and I saw them dressing it with evergreens, and wondered what they were taking the woods in the church for; but I got no satisfactory explanation. A little later I understood it was a Romish institution, kept by the Romish Church." |

Nobody gets offended when you say "Merry Christmas", weirdos. Sorry to offend you…but Merry Christmas anyway! No, it’s not Happy Holidays or Seasons Greetings. It’s Merry Christmas. And, if you are offended, deal with it. There are a lot of things I see in the media and such that I don’t agree with but you don’t see me getting all butt hurt about it. If you are truly offended when someone says, “Merry Christmas?, you have some serous psychological problems and are in dire need of therapy. I wonder if you get just as offended when someone cuts you off on the freeway and flips you the middle finger. Probably not. As for retailers who refuse to say “Merry Christmas?, on their marketing collateral, you’d think they would have invested in market research and come across this study in 2002 by the Pew Research Council that found that roughly 80 percent of Canadians and 86% of Americans consider themselves Christians. A similar study was cited in Wikipedia. If you feel offended, just buy a one way ticket to your native country, and disappear. |

That's not true. And Muslims respect Jesus. The following is taken from the recent NATIOAL POST:- TORONTO - A Toronto mosque is telling Muslims not to say "Happy Thanksgiving" or"Merry Christmas",or invite friends into their homes for turkey dinner on the holiday weekend. The Khalid Bin Al-Walid Mosque says to "avoid participating" in dinners, parties or greetings on Thanksgiving and Christmas because it is a kuffaar, or non-Muslim, celebration. A two-part article on the mosque Web site says Muslims should also "stay completely away" from "Halloween trick-and treat nonsense," Christmas, New Year's, anniversaries, birthdays and Earth Day. "How can we bring ourselves to congratulate or wish people well for their disobedience to Allah? Thus expressions such as:Happy Christmas, Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Birthday, Happy New Year, etc, are completely out," it says. NO OTHER RELIGION IS GETTING OFFENDED ON WISHING MERRY CHRISTMAS. SIKHS, HINDUS, CHINESE AND BUDDHISTS HAPPILY JOIN IN AND CELEBRATE ALONG WITH THE MAJORITY ,SINCE THEY KNOW THEY ARE LIVING IN CANADA. |

In 2003, the Khalid mosque, which mainly serves the Toronto Muslim community, apologized for a newsletter that compared .WISHING SOMEONE A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO CONGRATULATING A MURDERER,A DRUNKARD,AND A KARRIR At the time, a junior employee was blamed for the slight, but the mosque's Web site has since posted similar edicts covering not only Christmas but also virtually every other Western celebration. Muslims who participate in the Christmas holidays are termed ignorant and hypocritical. While not all are religious holidays, the Internet site says Muslims are required to be different from non-Muslims "in matters which are representative of them or are characteristic of their identity." Also banned, it says, are: watching sports or soap operas, walking dogs, family photos, wedding bands, Western hats, mingling and shaking hands with the opposite sex. "Allah and his messenger have warned us against following or imitating non-Muslims in things which are characteristic of their religion or beliefs. This is more emphasized in the case of their eids [festivals] or occasions, which always hold some religious or ideological non-Islamic meanings, and on which the kuffaar indulge in many evil practices." |

Yes indeed. Why congratulate a murderer when you can base your whole religion on the teachings of one. -XRDC |

Can a muslim wish a non muslim on holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving? Praise be to Allaah. Greeting the kuffaar on Christmas and other religious holidays of theirs is haraam, by consensus, as Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy on him, said in Ahkaam Ahl al-Dhimmah: "Congratulating the kuffaar on the rituals that belong only to them is haraam by consensus, as is congratulating them on their festivals and fasts by saying ‘A happy festival to you’ or ‘May you enjoy your festival,’ and so on. If the one who says this has been saved from kufr, it is still forbidden. It is like congratulating someone for prostrating to the cross, or even worse than that. It is as great a sin as congratulating someone for drinking wine, or murdering someone, or having illicit sexual relations, and so on. Many of those who have no respect for their religion fall into this error; they do not realize the offensiveness of their actions. Whoever congratulates a person for his disobedience or bid’ah or kufr exposes himself to the wrath and anger of Allaah." Congratulating the kuffaar on their religious festivals is haraam to the extent described by Ibn al-Qayyim because it implies that one accepts or approves of their rituals of kufr, even if one would not accept those things for oneself. But the Muslim should not aceept the rituals of kufr or congratulate anyone else for them, because Allaah does not accept any of that at all, as He says (interpretation of the meaning): "If you disbelieve, then verily, Allaah is not in need of you, He likes not disbelief for His slaves. And if you are grateful (by being believers), He is pleased therewith for you. . ." [al-Zumar 39:7] |

I wonder how homeless people feel about christmas Christmas is the time for giving and sharing. In fact, most of the Homeless eagerly await this time of the year,as every church will organize free dinner parties for these people on Christmas. Salvation Army people have many food booths, for them . Compared to the homeless in Muslim countries, our homeless people ae very few,and live in relative comfort. |
