i've been going out with this girl now for 3 months. i pay on all the dates but she never says thank you and never expresses gratitude when i pay for the dates. i am always paying for dinner, movies, shows. last date, i bought tickets to a show and when i gave it to her, she just took them and didn't say thank you. then we went to dinner and when the bill came, she never did the required etiquette of lady with the reach for her purse and i just signed the cheque. the reach for the purse would have been a nice gesture in dating etiquette even though i would be happy to pay for dinner. all my dates with her are sort of a downer everytime it comes to paying the bills and she doesn't say thank you.
but she does seem like a nice person. what do you guys think? oh, and i have never heard her say my name. she always refers me as "hey" when i call her or when we go out. |

What does she call you in the heat of passion? Start looking around for someone who knows your name. On a date, I always pay. From time to time I'll persuade a lady to dine at Castle Harris. On those occasions, the well bred girls will turn up with a bottle of wine, or a nice box of chockies for us to enjoy.

somehow I doubt there is the heat of passion. Guy, do you feel that things are going up, downhill, or just the same thing over and over, since you met her? a good indicator is how physical have you been with her so far?
you can actually talk to her about it and if she cares, then she'll accomodate. or you can tell her she's a great girl, but you gotta move on and find a girl who appreciates you more. |

Ok I read again, maybe you could be subtle and talk about it with her, maybe she is just shy, i don't like saying thank you cause i am shy and saying thank you to me is useless,
i rather do something in return rather than saying those words and feeling guilty as if i owe them anything. but again it's me. I'd probably buy them little gift so they get what i meant. |
