The investigation is still ongoing and the exact motive is unclear but judging from the reaction of several important regional players, including the USA, the Mumbai terrorist attacks last week were very likely meant to keep Pakistan and India at each other's throats. After the attacks, Secretary of State Condi Rice was dispatched to the region in an effort, no doubt, to assuage tensions and make sure India and Pakistan don't withdraw their nuclear swords from the scabbards.
By the way, I thought Barry's election guaranteed a cessation of terrorist activity everywhere. Or will universal peace arrive after the coronation of His Highness next month? I can hardly wait. |

I think many people have taken a cult-like following to Obama. He's human and not perfect. He was probably the most suitable of the candidates for the US Presidency... and my neighbours cat would do a better job than BUSH.
Obama will bring some change... but not world peace... in fact.. he's already stated that once US withdraws from Iraq... they are going after Afghanistan full force. |

"Once the US withdraws from Iraq"? Barry said that? And when will the withdrawl occur? This past week, the Iraqi presidential council voted to end the presence of American troops in 2011. That's three years from now. Funny how Barry had nothing public to say about this vote. I thought Barry was going to immediately end America's involvement in Iraq. Maybe his magic wand needs new batteries. |

The opposite was said. Biden said a terrorist attack would take place within 6 months of Obama's presidency - an equally stupid thing to say. Barry's hobo, Joe Biden, suffers from a terminal case of foot-in-mouth disease. But given Barry's belief in appeasement, a terrorist attack within six months of His Majesty's coronation is not an unlikely possibility. |

Here's a tip: Repeating an assertion will not convert it into the truth. Then pay attention to what I am saying, and respond if you can. You're the one telling an untruth. Show me anything where any Obama supporter says that an Obama presidency will guarantee a cessation of terrorist activity everywhere. Once again, such a claim has never been made. You are the only one to make this claim. |

Let's face it India and Pakistan have been fighting since the British left. In fact there have been worse attacks in Mumbai before this and they have nothing to do with the US.

In a secular age, many people still feel the need to believe in something. Lots of our American cousins have chosen to believe in Barry. Will he walk across the Potomac after his inauguration? I'm jealous. Barry is reputed by some to be able to change water into wine, while I'm gifted only with the capability of changing beer into piss. I too, was caught up in the joyous moment of his win, however, the rationalist in me says he's been bought and sold by the same people who have been in control of world affairs for some time. It's the bad guy (Bush), good guy (Obama) game. Honeymoon is already over for me. I seriously don't expect C H A N G E. I hope I am wrong. |

It will be interesting to see if any of the poo generated by the arrest of the Illinois Governour is flung in Barry's direction and winds up sticking to to his Armani suit. Chicago is likely the epicenter of corruption in an extremely corrupt state. I'll make the popcorn. |
