GG approves PM's request to suspend Parliament
Updated Thu. Dec. 4 2008 12:34 PM ET

This time in January vote for a Conservative Majority.

Let's limit the power of the Bloc & seperatist thinking.

If not, be prepared for the WEST to seperate.

If the Bloc is allowed to continue hampering Canada's progress selfishly, I will join Alberta's seperatist movement.

Then tell Stephen to smarten up and quit acting like he has a majority. He needs to learn cooperate with the opposition not antagonize! I'm sure the GG has already told him just that and told him the next time he shows up on her doorstep she would have to assume that he couldn't effectively govern and that it would be the coalition's turn. I agree that he definitely dominates.

I would agree on a Liberal & NDP coalition but not any party that strokes the Bloc.

I would rather fight for seperation of the West thank you very much. Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image!

We should get rid of the GG too. Britain & the queen does not dictate us!

He's already backing down. It's the "coalition" that won't back down.

Let's limit the power of a democratically elected parliament by all Canadians by shutting it down!
That's Harper style!

Separatist thinking arranged Harper in 2004 when he wanted to defeat Paul Martin !

If you want to separate start by spelling the word right west coast MORON! It's "separate" not "seperate" !

Here is Stephen "hypocrit" Harper making deals with separatist Leader

F.ck U.

If it came down to it, I would vote to seperate without hesitation!

The people paying the bills should have the power.

Really now, how many of the Bloc would vote for more funding for themselves?

How many students would vote for FREE EDUCATION?

How many welfare recipients would vote for more money?

How many employees in a company get to vote for a raise?

LOL

Do you, have any idea/care, what's going to happen to the country?
Or do you just want him out of that office so bad you're going to piss yourself?

I have an idea of what will happen to the country if we have a GW Bush Style Prime Minister and party ruling this country. You just have to look south of our borders. Americans massively rejected republicans and their laissez faire and that authoritarian style of governing!

LOL

You think we will spend $700 billion+ (on IRAQ alone, not counting the damage done by 9/11 + War on Terror) to go to war with another country (what a coincidence that it is the same amount as the US Economic Bailout...LOL)?

Yet, you will whine about the chump change & minimal lives lost (relatively) that Canada provided to aid our allies (it is obvious that you do not have any friends).

You probably were one of the whiners that was supporting Paul Martin (Liberals) to resign. When he saved us billions & you whined about millions. LOL

You are truly stupid comparing apples with oranges.

Let me guess, you must be a stupid East coaster (like the rest of the SHEEPLE)?

LOL

I for one would love to see political stability & consistency and the Conservatives are doing a good job overall.

Either we diminish the Blocs powers (making an example of it) or we all seperate.

How many students would vote in favour of FREE EDUCATION?

How many welfare recipients would vote for more money?

How many employees would want to vote for a raise?

How many companies would want free taxpayer money during tough times?

LOL

No but Harper was stupid enough a few days ago to revoke the right of women to have equal salary as men for same job and experience and revoke the right to strike, cut financing to opposition and so on.... That's what started all of this!

Now he shuts down Parliament to avoid a vote against him. Who the heck he think he is? Vladimir Putin!

Are you so shure that people in BC will put up with this? Are you saying that people in the West think that women don't deserve the same pay as men when having the same job and same experience?

Where's your proof about revoking the equal pay part for women & men doing the same job?

I read about the revoke of the right to strike and I agree with it during tough economic times.

It's either that or the company goes under & everyone is laid off.

Since you probably never ran a company in Canada, you would not realize what is involved.

Always thinking that they are greedy without actually having done it yourself. LOL

Oswald, where are you residing now.

The proof is in the last budget presented by Flaherty his Minister of finance a few days ago. Silly!

I live in Vancouver since 10 years and I am proud to say that I grew up in Montreal!T

Go back to Montreal, Quebec. F.ck the French.

You know what a waste of money (& efficiency) it is to have French on labels in the West just to appease the Frenchies (it should only be required in Quebec)?

The 2009 Budget isn't even out yet (it isn't even 2009 yet).
http://www.budget.gc.ca

And they are carefully doing it rather than drafting it quickly (especially taking into account what has happened in the past few months).

The Conservatives were actually working for Canadians & the economy, while good old Liberals were in fighting & figuring out who their next leader would be for the next Federal election.

Meanwhile, Jack & Gilles were in bed together stroking each other on how to get more power -- Dion was easily swayed.

I would be upset if a 2009 Budget came out too quickly but of course you wouldn't know it, since I am sure you don't even know how to prepare a budget for your own household. Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image!

Budget 2008: Responsible Leadership for Uncertain Times
http://www.budget.gc.ca/2008/home-accueil-eng.asp

Budget 2008 also demonstrates responsible leadership by:

  • Reducing debt.
Since taking office, the Government has reduced the federal debt by more than $37 billion, including $10.2 billion this fiscal year. The Government’s aggressive debt reduction has resulted in ongoing interest savings of $2 billion per year. Under the Tax Back Guarantee, the benefits of debt reduction are passed on to Canadians in the form of lower personal income taxes.
  • Strengthening Canada’s tax advantage.
Since taking office, the Government has delivered almost $200 billion in tax relief over this and the next five years. Budget 2008 extends accelerated capital cost allowance treatment for the manufacturing and processing sector by three years on a declining basis—this will provide these businesses with an additional $1 billion in tax relief.
  • Investing in the country’s manufacturing heartland.
In February 2008, Parliament passed the Government’s $1-billion Community Development Trust to support communities and workers. Budget 2008 builds on this investment by providing $250 million for an Automotive Innovation Fund to help Canada’s automotive sector adapt to the challenges of the future.
  • Investing in the priorities of Canadians.
Budget 2008 is providing $400 million to hire 2,500 new front-line police officers over the next five years. Budget 2008 also supports the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and will improve the safety systems for food, consumer and health products.
