I'm in my early 20s and I consider myself an average kinda guy on the attractiveness scale. My female friends think I have an attractive face but I am only about 5 '7"/5'8" with a slender yet athletic sprinter's body. And I can dance...haha, but for some reason most of the cute women at a club that look at me brush me off or politely turn me away when I approach them. Sometimes I feel they are intimidated by me because I can actually dance better than what a lot of really good looking big guys can (they're either silly dancers or super touchy feely and in the latter case they get blown off anyway)...is it that or is it just that they prefer the hulks?

I kno what some of you may think : 'maybe he only thinks he can dance well'..that's a valid point. Nonetheless, I do know this for sure, that I do dance well. I know that sounds quite boastful, but that's not my intention. I dance hip-hop and the jive

Maybe you don't dance as good as you think. Maybe your approach is all wrong. Either way, if you are a good dancer the girls will be interested. I suggest you dance with your female friends and eventually a girl will come your way

Acknowledging that another guy is attractive does not indicate homosexuality. The homphobia on this forum is apauling.

Sounds real dumb. Women turning you away because you can dance? That's not the reason they are turning you away. Most women are turned on by a man who can dance.

You're too short. Even at 5'9/5'10 it is difficult to pick up certain girls because they flat out prefer taller/bulkier guys.

I have a friend whos 6'4 Im 5'8, generally speaking at the bar he has a 2 second head start on me, but I almost always come out on top . my act is together and I have more social skills, more things going for me so I generally do better than he does

Thanks to all the people that provided constructive answers. Some of you may have noticed that I said "most cute girls" in my original post. I am successful some times, just not all the time.

The reason I asked this question is because a lot of girls turn guys down in a manner like they're to good for them. Recently, a girl politely turned me down however, saying that she'd seen me dance and that I dance too well. I purposefully said she was shy to a friend within her earshot and that drove her to dance with me...quite wildly I might add but just for a few minutes before she returned to her friends. It seemed quite defensive and so I was wondering if it's possible that most of these girls in vancouver are just shy.

also I usually go for girls who are shorter than I am..it's just a preference
