If you're sick, it's because your body is detoxifying itself. Drink some mint tea. And get ready to be near a bathroom at all times.

Hang in there, when you start to cleanse, you will crave grease. Your body loves to hang onto bad habits.

One of the best detox products I've found so far is Flor Essence herbal tea. It is a very powerful herbal tea used for detoxing the body. I've had great success with it so far.

I've found that gaia garden's detox kit worked well without causing griping or nausea. It requires a bit more of a restrictive diet than Wild Rose, but was far less unpleasant than wild rose in my experience.

I'm on some 3 step detox from germany.  It's 2 powders...one you drink in the morning with hot water first thing and before bed.  Then there is a homeopathic thing where you take 20 drops 3 times per day.  And another powder with water 1 hr after meals.

Not sure if I feel better or not.  But at $80, I don't think i'll buy it again.

the 3 or 10 day sambu elderberry cleans is very good.  Also Zand Quick Cleans took away my summer allergies one year when I did it in the spring

You can also try Gentle Cleanse.  It comes in a purple box.  It's a 7-day detox programme.

Yeah, I am about to start this tomorrow but am having some serious issues trying to find some recipes. I'd buy the cookbook but I'd like to have some kind of idea what the recipes in it are like, also they didn't have it where I got my kit so I wouldn't know where to find it.

I'm on day 6.  Generally tired (operating about 80%), a few headaches on day 2.  Lost 5-10lbs in fluid.  Hard to say exactly, because I had been retaining a lot of fluid prior to the cleanse, and my weight fluctuated a lot.

Lymph nodes (neck and pelvis) are a bit swollen, was sweating profusely earlier in the week, bit of acne as the toxins are clearing themselves out.

I bought the recipe book at Alive in Coquitlam Centre.  It's a good deal for $12.99 as the recipes are basic, tasty and good for every day (not just detox).  Lots of chicken, fish and veg main dishes, soups, salads, dips.

I'm doing the wild rose for the first time and am on day 6. Many friends have done it and swear by the results. I spent the first 2-3 days vomiting alot. Had to stop the herbs until my stomach settled down but stuck with the diet. I saw an herbalist who said to decrease the dose and don't take the drops until later in the cleanse and then continue the drops after the 12 days are up. Seems to have settled things down and I feel ok now, lots of cravings but no more vomiting.

I have been cleansing with Wild Rose annually for the last 9 years, and find that after day 3 of  the side-effects like mild headaches and frequent voiding, my body starts to reap the benefits of sound sleep, vivid dreams, improved concentration and memory, increased energy levels, improved sensory stimulation, and positive mental energies.

Also, I purchased the cookbook by Dr Willard, and use it religiously throughout the cleanse and periodically afterwards. After the 12day program, I will continue with the diet for as long as I can before introducing the things that I have been abstaining from like dark chocolate and red wine! It is a great program for me, and I have introduced it to many friends whom have had similar results.

I just started the Colonix and Toxinout program last week from www.drnatura.com and so far it seems to be going well, although you really need to wait at least several weeks to really see the crap that comes out..

I'm planning to do this for 1-2 months.  After which I plan to do a Candida cleansing with oregano oil and probiotics.

Does anyone know if soy protein is ok while you are on the cleanse? I know soy is ok, but my veggie burgers are made from soy protein.

Booster, what's the candida cleanse all about?  I did the pure body cleanse for a while and now I'm just eating as healthy as I can.  I am taking acidophilus capsules almost daily.  My only vices these days are coffee and sugar twin.  I use one packet of sugar twin per day - 1/2 per mug of coffee and drink two mugs of coffee every morning.  I would like to get down to one mug of coffee and no sugar twin but I really hate my coffee unsweetened.

Girl,

Here's a link describing the Candida fungus.  It can be difficult to diagnose whether someone has Candida or not, but there are symptoms that can be indicators and there's questionnaries you can find on websites that you can complete to help determine if you have excess colon candida.  Probably the hardest thing about the candida cleansing that I'm not looking forward to is the restrictive diet.  Again, if you Google, you'll see what I mean when you look at the foods you can and can't eat during the cleanse.

This website has alot of good info as well... http://www.colonzone.org/

Happy cleansing!

I just finished the wild-rose detox on Saturday, May 5.

I was pretty faithful to all the restrictions.  I may have had several cheats tho.

All in all I thought the detox was great, and I really could tell the difference in my appearance towards the end.  The first few days were really tough, felt nauseated often, frequent trip to the bathroom, although not as bad as others have described.

The problem --now that it is over, I find again that I can't really 'go', and am wondering if I may have screwed up my system by becoming dependent on the wonderful 'laxa-herb' pill.

Anyone else with this experience?  If so, how long did it last and what did you do about it?!?!!

It sucks b/c once again I feel like *rap!

I found that the laxatives were too strong for me but I love the eating plan.
Tons of good stuff in the recipe book.

I eat stuff from it almost every week.

I think maybe I might try the cleanse again but I will lower the dosage of the pills.

The thing I love most about this recipe is that it doesn't ignore ANY food groups.

I think that if you are feeling really sick... you shouldn't assume that it is only to do with the cleanse.

You might be having an allergic reaction to the pills or they might be too strong for you.
You shouldn't feel like you want to die.
You should be pooing a lot and have cravings.

I found that baked potatoes really helped reduce the cravings I had.

If you are doing the cleanse for the first time, I think you should try the food only first.
Then the next time-- when your body gets used to eating healthy-- try the pills and drops.

I have just finshed reading this entire forum and everyone scarry stories about throwing up, getting violently ill, and the  bad craving stuff. Why would I want  to subject myself  to taking  something that makes me crave bad foods and get violently ill. ??
Sorry but I don't get it , you obviously have never heard about Dr. Millers Holy Tea. Formulated 20 years ago you drink it everyday Its NOT A LAXITIVE.. It is a total body detox and weight loss aid.. GETS RID OF BULDGING  BELLIES and  more.
Taste pleasant ... you get better than great results ... if you drink it everyday your toxins don't get the better of you... go to this  site and  check out  the info and deceide for yourself... "ROSE DETOX OR "DR MILLERS HOLY TEA?

I am on day 10 now ... almost there, and have I ever seen a change. I feel a lot more active and alert. I had a little dependence on caffeine in the morning, but that has changed a lot. Other than the explosive bowels it was a great thing to do !! Cut down on the Laxaherb if that becomes the case. I had to after day 8. I did feel quite sick at the beginning to answer your question though. My girlfriend actually threw up on day two, but we felt great after. Both lost about 10 pounds, and have picked up on a lot of raelly good eating habbits. My recomendation is to get fully stocked up at the start of the detox, and find your big pot and prepare a lot of brown rice. Learn to eat that with most meals and that is the biggest obstical. Popcorn with a little butter and a little salt is also a great treat. Enjoy it, hold on, and it will all pay off in the end.

No mustard...it contains vinegar (and some contain sugar as well).

NO CONDIMENTS

All this "detox" stuff is meaningless and has no scientific basis. You do not have to waste your time and money on supplements and "detox" remedies. All you need to do is eat a properly balanced diet and get some regular exercise.

Hey everyone, I am in day 9 today however I do this cleanse twice a year for the last 8 years or so...and I have experienced different levels of the symtoms you speak about depending on how badly I have been eating and how many yrs I had been storing it all....but I always come out of it a little more on track with my eating habits and a little less addicted to gluton and sugar....I do it to get myself back into eating right and it also helps with eliinating bloating(from gluton and yeasts, pasta, breads etc) as well as it improves my eczema and most of all brings my energy levels down from spiking up and down to ..even keel.
.....ok if you  vomiting then stop the cleanse and just try the food diet to get your body on track. If its your first time then you may feel like you have the flu for the first 2-6 days as it is detoxing any "bugs" you might be storing in your system. If its normal then you will first have sugar cravings in the first half and about day 5-8 you will have gluton cravings....just keep going and try not to cheat..you will get through it...its only 12 days and you will be healthier each time you do it. Drink loads of water and you may expect to drop 4-10lbs in the 12 days but expect some of it will come back when you arent on the pills afterwards.

Best way to manage the food aspect is to try to balance the 80%/20% columns within each meal if you can ..and always keep it simple...no sauces, no condiments no premade dressings bought from the store as they almost always contain weird additives and yeasts and vinegars etc.....but I make a great salad dressing thats super easy....grated ginger, lemon, olive oil and blk pepper....that way you avoid all the vinegars....you also can use butter a little bit and loads of garlic and ginger with stir fries, fish , chicken........and only cook with olive oil or recommended oils. Good luck to you all!
