nolongerminnie, no offense....but I think a lot of these violent acts may stem from racism.
A lot of times the victims are us immigrants, we may all have good money back home, but here we are just trying to do it like other do, too bad a lot of times we are not accepted.

Just the one case I think. News never fail to point their finger on a particular race guilty of a crime. If race is not mentioned, you can bet its white. You'll never find this headline "Whites shot RCMP dead"

A Burnaby man who was travelling east in the 4700 block of Kingsway yesterday heard the siren of an emergency vehicle, and like all good law abiding drivers, he slowed down trying to stop to give the emergency vehicle the right of way.
Another vehicle with four men in it honked at this driver. In response, the driver pointed out the obvious, and showed the honking vehicle that there was an ambulance obviously travelling with all it’s emergency equipment on. The ambulance continued and all traffic resumed their travel.
However at the next traffic control signal everyone stopped at the red light. At this point three males from the honking vehicle exited their vehicle and opened the Burnaby mans driver’s door. They began to kick the driver in the legs and then returned to their vehicle.
Description of the three suspects;
Male # 1: Asian ancestry, in his 20's, 5'7" tall, 160 lbs., wearing a white t shirt and he had an unhealthy complexion.
Male # 2: Asian ancestry, in his 20's, 5'7" tall160 lbs. , had dyed blonde hair.
Male # 3: Asian ancestry, in his 20's, 5'7" tall,160 lbs., wearing blue jeans.
Description of Suspect vehicle ; Grey Nissan pathfinder, with BC plate 760 - EXB
All drivers in British Columbia are reminded that there is a law regarding the right of way concerning all Emergency Vehicles ( police, fire, ambulance).

Don't you think that when no description beyond gender and age is provided (which seems to be the case way more often than not) it's usually somebody nonwhite? I like the ones where they mention that a machete was used but give no suspect description.

the kid who was hacked looked white and he lived to say the were indos. if they get caught and get a slap on the wrist, kids will laugh and this sort of thing will escalate. if they don't get caught kids will laugh and this sort of thing will escalate. either way, maybe next time they will kill the victim to ensure no witness. our laws should put them behind bars for at least 15 yrs. hard time and with immediate deportion upon release. imo

I think a lot of these crimes occur because of new immigrants coming from countries where such activity is the norm, if not encouraged, especially when religion and race are concerned. When they immigrate to Canada, they bring those mindsets with them, and they end up perpetuating most of these kinds of criminal activities. I’m not saying Canadian-born people don’t do this, but the majority still are immigrants from visible racial and religious backgrounds.
I also thought guns were illegal in Canada? Where is this freaking shooting coming from?

any immigrant should be immediately deported after serving a long and lengthly time in isolation for their crime. if they are born here, for that type of crime they should never, ever be freed. imo

What I had in mind are European immigrants. 1st and 2nd generation immigrants from countries like Italy, Germany, Russia, Spain, Ireland, etc.
I am not talking about your average white Canadians. They cannot be deported back to France or Britain. That would be pretty odd.

Full moon, guys. There was a flipped car on Kingsway in E Van Saturday evening that I passed by on my way home. First warm weekend of the year and a full moon. Ask any policeman or Emergency Room doctor or nurse and they'll tell you that violent crime and injuries peak during the full moon.

I thought guns were legal here, but just hard to get? I know in alberta they have a shooting range right in west edmonton mall!

Please let me know of a single instance where a handgun loaded itself with a bullet and shot someone .
when someone drive a car drunk do we blame the auto manufactuer/ Vehicle? Or do we blame the offender ?

guns are not illegal - they have to be registered and licensed etc.

Anyway, there are too many Chinese immigrants killed/robbed/stolen from. I dont know, but we are pretty vulnerable in Vancouver, so we dont like Hastings at all, it's not for Chinese people.

"White" refers to the caucasian race (Anglo-Saxon, Slavic, Nordic, etc) excluding Iranians, Indians, Pakistanis. It doesn't refer to "shade" like 'white' Japanese.
