A state of emergency may lead to martial law initiated by the WHO/Margaret Chan, peeps.

Doc, I should also add that you crapped all over Dr. Chan for in lack of action regarding SARS. Now you are crapping on her for being over precautious with H1N1. Face it, you have a hate-on for her because she's Chinese.

well being that polio is transmitted from feces to mouth, YES hygiene played a HUGE roll. all you have to do is convince a population to wash its hands before preparing dinner and BAM you've nearly killed the disease. if you've done research on the subject, i'm sure you've seen the graphs indicating that polio rates in the 50s were on a downward trajectory before vaccines were developed. if you've evidence to contradict those graphs, lay it on me.

btw, i do not believe 'we' eat worse now than in the 40s-50s (with obvious exceptions). my mom grew up on one of those romantic albertan farms where they butchered an organic free-range turkey for christmas dinner and pickled their own pig feet... but she also went without fresh fruits or veggies for 5 months of the year.

Well done..\I would hasten to add [I do this a lot..LOL] that vaccines are a new invention. It is relatively recently that Salk announced his discovery...less than a century ago. Was it a good discovery?...that depends on what it's purpose is, and they manner it's rendered.
Lets examine what makes a vaccine. The ingredients need to be understood [apart from the serum it'self]. Are they safe...NO!Preservatives/mercury/squalene,therimisol etc [the list is long as are the variables]..Check it out. I would suggest that a safe vaccine is one that's not messed with..that is to say/fresh, natural & simple! Why all these other ingredients when they dont directly enhance efficacy.

it's a sickness he can't control, even when his threads are deleted before the ink is dry, like this morning, he frantically continues to pound away on his keyboard, "getting the word out there"...sinophobic in every thread regardless of the subject...

Vancouver housing market up thread...Doc says its the Chinese triads who are responsible for a rise in house prices...but the deleting must be a kick in the arse for him...you know, like his valuable time bwahahahaa

Doc, just when I think it's impossible you sink to a new low level of ignorance and stupidity!

How about you post some actual and credible statistics showing a link to death, or serious complications, from vaccinations?

In the meantime, have a look here:

Try a guy named Jenner 200 years ago?

The process of vaccination was discovered by Edward Jenner in 1796, who acted upon his observation that milkmaids who caught the cowpox virus did not catch smallpox.[1] Prior to wide-spread vaccination, mortality rates in individuals with smallpox were high—up to 35% in some cases.[2]

Schmuckly, Yes the first discovery of vaccine was by Jenner but we were talking about polio that is what I addressed. The salk vaccine made the breakthroujgh with thew endemic polio at the time. That is what was discussed. with temirity & due respect, re-read the content as applied to the subject of Polio.
NOT the first dicovery of vaccine by Jenner.

Sorry there mate,but keep trying.

Another fine effort at deflection, however you wrote this:

"Well done..\I would hasten to add [I do this a lot..LOL] that vaccines are a new invention..."

How many different flavours of polio vaccines are you aware of?

How about just admitting you screwed up with your "facts" again? No?
Wow, what a surprise!!

When you are about to lose an argument - deflect

When you have lost all credibility - deflect

When can't justify your bizarre allegations - deflect

Do all that and perhaps no one will notice how stupid you are. Right Doc?
