Going to a country and emulating the inhabitants is just polite, if you go to a country that woman have to put the burkas on put it on if it's the law.
Many of those people left the country they was in for more freedoms, why come to a country to try to make it the same as the one you left.

Like if I was in China, I should respect the customs, and try to learn and speak the language. It doesn't mean I have to forget my ways, just try to understand, and fit in as much as I can theirs.

If we have freedom of choice in this country, then women should be allowed to wear or not wear a burkha as they see fit. If the issue is that they don't have a choice in whether they wear a burkha or not, then that is what needs to be addressed. I have a feeling this isn't about the outfit.

Fine put it on, but when ask to take it off to identify yourself don't complain, your on a job don't complain because the dress code don't allow it, you get your ID take it off, you go in a bank take it off.
I would like to see the reaction if everyone would put on a ski mask walking in a bank even if it's cold out.

According to some Canadians (cc la femme types), brown people are exempt from religious freedom. hth

Do you know if they wear it for id photos too? Passport, drivers liscense, etc. ? While I'm all for religious freedom, rights, etc. there should be some law when it comes to identification.
