homophobia is nothing but a mask for internalized homoerotic feelings. If you're a male homophobe, chances are you're very curious about how does it feel to wrap your lips around a penis.

Men that are comfortable with their sexuality have no problem hanging with gay guys, because they know that they won't catch it.

I wouldn't go that far.

Just because you're phobic it doesn't mean you want it. Masculine pride fuels a lot of aggressive behavior.

sort of agree with you... I believe society (and specially religion) conditions people to reject what's unknown and to treat it as evil and wrong.

There's the wrong conception that gay people are fragile so if you are not strong and virile, you must be a fag. Which is wrong. But also understand the post that says that extreme aggression can be a defense mechanism for some.

very true. i think it just shows immaturity. lots of straight men have had a gay fantasy, though will never admit it.

that is like saying men who know they will never want to drink piss have no problem hanging out with men that do, because they know they won't catch it. it being the desire to do so.

Well yeah I agree with you there too. Hate (in any case, not just homophobia) is primarily a conditioned emotion, I think fueled by religious morals, among other fears and psychological issues.

Ok guys, here is the truth. I find it extremely hard to believe that straight men (incluing me) have never been attracted to men who are more handsome than us. It is true we all are repulsed by those who are less-good-looking than us but when we see people who are better-looking than us, we are undoubtedly attracted to them. It doesn't mean I will want to run and put that guy's penis in my mouth in a minute, but I am fairly confident we all have fantasized how that other better-looking guy would be more sexually active than us and even how freaky he would be with his girlfriend on bed And of course, we all take a sneak peek in the gym or restroom not just to compare our penis sizes. There is a more subtle but subconcious sexual reason to that.

I hadn't thought of that right now; the level of social status (in the other person) has an effect on our attraction to them...whether it be sexual or otherwise. 'course I've never heard a straight guy be honest and say what you just said, so thanks for that!

Yes, that's the difference between men and women. Wome openly talk about it. But, we men don't talk about our thoughts and feelings. We just bury them inside or forget them. But, sure as hell, our buried thoughts creep back during masturbation. haha.

Yeah I know a LOT of women that experimented sexually with their girlfriends when they were younger. They're not lesbian, but they just wanted to try it out for fun.

I dont think I am homophobic, but, you know, the idea of two men kissing really revolts me. Strangely I find two women kissing is erotic. Go figure.

At any rate, homosexuality is a minority thing and if that is your bag, fly at it- just dont politicize it please.
