hmm, I'd suggest counseling before you tell people to pill-pop. I am not telling people to pill pop. I am saying if you have depression or other mental illness meds help if you give them a chance. And i do see two psychiatrists. One is for rem programming. Works good. My first choice before meds. |

Works good. My first choice before meds. there is no such thing as mental illness and psychiatric meds are neruotoxic and brain disabling. fcounselling is always first choice. medications are NEVER a choice. psychiatry harms people and is a pseudoscience. say no to toxic psychiatric drugs. |

Sure.
http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/472364 Antidepressants May Cause Depression and Suicidality The antidepressant drugs are fluoxetine (Prozac), sertraline (Zoloft), paroxetine (Paxil), fluvoxamine (Luvox), citalopram (Celexa), escitalopram (Lexapro), bupropion (Wellbutrin), venlafaxine (Effexor), nefazodone (Serzone), and mirtazapine (Remeron). Several of these drugs are approved for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder in pediatric patients (sertraline, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine). Only fluoxetine is approved for use in children with major depressive disorder. None of these drugs are approved as monotherapy in treating bipolar depression, either in adults or children, and fluvoxamine is not approved as an antidepressant in the U.S. The FDA has been closely reviewing the results of antidepressant studies in children since June 2003, after an initial report appeared to suggest increased risk of suicidal thoughts and actions in the pediatric population, according to today's advisory. |

And then when the thoughts of suicide and anxiety go up, they diagnose even more and different drugs that will cause even more symptoms, it's an endless cycle. Or should I say, endless cycle of profit for the drug companies and for psychiatrists! Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image! amen. thats why psychiatry is a pseudoscience |

Antidepressants CAUSE depression in the long-term! Now see you're using the big old CAUSE in that statement but the article you cited says MAY CAUSE. That *may* is a very important word. And yes it's partially true. Anti-depressants can cause suicide and depression in some users. The key word being SOME. In fact, it's less than 2%. Which for a side effect is quite low. Very, very low in fact. |

Why is ghost trying to defend these money-hungry drug companies? I'm not defending anything. I agree that people are over medicated. Too often people are given anti-depressants when they're not clinically depressed. Clinical depression only accounts for 4% of the population at the most. However, people with mental disorders need medication. People who are manic, schizophrenic, panic disorder with or without agorophobia, etc need medication to function on a day to day basis. It's no different than being diabetic. It's just a way of life. |

Education does not equal being biased. It equals knowledge. Because the guy who starts all these threads is a Scientologist. Stick around and you'll figure it out. |

It's just a way of life. people with mental disturbances do NOT need medication. psychiatric drugs do not cure anybody. psychiatric drugs are extremely dangerous and life threatening. there is no such disease or disorders called , manic depression, schizophrenia, and panic disorder. diabetics have a blood sugar imbalance there is no evidence that people with mental disturbances have a chemical imbalance and need to take medication like a diabetic does. you make no sense and are totally wrong and you also sound like an idiot. |
