I work part time as I am a student and where I work, I get this feeling that I am the only Christian. People are constantly using such foul language, taking the Lord's name in vain, and talking trash about women, and occassionally minorities and so on.
Everytime I go to work, I feel as if I entered hell. I now feel that I would probably be better off in the USA as many people there believe in God and there are a lot of Christians there. Everytime I go there people say to one another "God bless you" or "Thank God" or "our thoughts and prayers" whereas here in Canada people will use the terms "thank goodnesss" "mother nature" or "our thoughts and well wishes" No wonder we have so many unhappy people in Canada and that's sad. People will only use our Lord's name for swearing purposes. I will still respectand love mankinf but that does not mean that I will be able to enjoy the company of God-hating unbeliever's. |

Another thing that bothers me is that some of the people at work were ignorantly asking questions such as "Is good Friday a stat holiday?" or "when is good Friday?"
Pretty sad. |

Why should a christian observance be a public holiday? Why shouldn't we all get a day off for Yom Kippur? Or Ramadam? Most Canadians (like myself) do not practice any religion at all. Why do you feel you should shove your religious beliefs down our throats? I am an atheist, and proud of it. Perhaps you should learn a little more about my beliefs. |

That's one the the few good things that religion has brought society ... a day off of work! Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image! |

The historical records of St. Nicholas are more credible than, well you know.
So why do you laugh at those who believe in Santa Claus??? John Lennon was more Jesus than Jesus was in that more people heard his talk about peace, and Bono is trying to keep it going. |

Yeah, that's one thing I really hate about living in the States. Even the Bay Area, where I currently go to university, is full of so many God believers and religious people. It's sickening.

Every society on this planet has created Gods. If God really does exist you think he would have told the same story to all the different peoples! But that didn't happen. Instead, in an attempt to control people in their societies, leaders created religion. IT IS ALL MAN MADE BS! Today we have codified laws, thus, religion is not necessary. Turn all of the religious houses into homes for the homeless. That's the best "christian" thing you could do!
Who is to say that when you die you will end up in a better place? I hope so, but no one knows. This book title says it all: Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image! |
