Gas is getting more expensive, how are YOU dealing with this?
Less driving?? Car-pooling? Less $$$ in your pocket?? Considering some form of transit?? Is anyone venturing down to hte US for slightley cheaper fuel?? Heard that you can save between 15 & 20 cents a litre down there.... |

I stopped driving months ago. Mostly walk or use transit. Lost some weight too on account of this activity.

I started riding to work 2 days a week. I hope to ramp this up to 4 within the next few weeks.
I'm also limiting the number of long road trips I do. |

I smile as I step on the gas, vroom vroom. I don't even notice the price when I fill up. Who cares if it takes an extra twenty to fill. What, are you all that poor?

Since I live only a few miles from the U.S. border I simply cross the border and full up my tank with cheap gasoline which ironcially was imported from Alberta, Canada!

I would take transit but the transit here is very much lacking. Even compared to a lot of so called third world countries transit here is a bit of a joke and expensive. If you live south of the Massey tunnel "what transit" a few buses. Transit has a long way to go, no pun intended.

Imagine people in poor third world countrys that buy gas, they will be the ones with out. What difference does it make to me if it costs an extra ten to fill my tank?

I kind of envy those people who can live and work and shop in the same area. Like Kensington in Toronto or Chinatown in Vancouver, Yaletown, Denman Street area etc. Take a cab when they need too and walk the rest of the time. No parking tickets, no traffic snarls, no icbc rates.

Nope. In fact, to escape transit I just bought a gas guzzling SUV. Even at $50 a week in gas it's still better than taking the bus.

It still takes less than $40 to fill my tank and that lasts about 10 days, and if i want to save more $$$ I have my husband fill it on Reserve land and he gets the gas tax free with his status card!!

I traded in my Envoy which at 135.2 costs $120.00 to fill and gets me about 450 kilometres. My new car costs $66.00 to fill and gets me 500 kilomteres or more. So it's not just $10.00 a fill.

not at all. In fact my astute investments in oil companies and canadian oilsands trust in the early part of this century has made me incredibly wealthy. The price of gas is incidental. In fact the higher the price goes the more money I make as the winfall profits that the oil co's make are reflected in their share price and MAKES ME RICHER!!!!!!!!!!!!
