Off the coast of Kodiak Island they had a 5.1 quake and a 4.0 in SOUTHEASTERN ALASKA at Elfin cove close to Canada.

Reports say the quake was felt in Beijing for two minutes and the 2008 Olympic headquarters building was evacuated.
I wonder if this quake will have a negative impact on the Games? Chinese construction and engineering is generally suspect and I wonder if the structural integrity of Olympic venues can be guaranteed? |

Bush should stop causing problems in China (lead poisoning scare, weather bombs, and Olympic Criticizing, all causing China to lose billions) I should shoot down his satelite (aka weather bomb) so he can't cause earthquakes in Afganistan and China and where ever he wants. Iraq should kick him out of the country so he can't prepare Armagedon (which has been written to take place there) He only wants to kill the world so he's messing with China but owes China a few trillion dollars. China will come looking for the debt. What does bush have against Christ anyway. He says that he changed his heart. Maybe Bush hurt his bum when he fell from heaven. |

the nature doesnt know borders or politics when it punishes. well im not sure if "punishment" is the right word here. Earth is a Dynamic planet and all this is part of the process. earthquakes, volcanoes these are the things that are free of human intervention unlke floods and droughts which can be manipulated to some extent due to human activities |

well there is one remote county in sichuan, think its name is wenchuan... something like that
and its all mountainous and not well connected, and they reported damage to 80% of the buildings and that area has a population of 118,000 something. hopefully the fatalities are low. the earthquake was felt even in gansu, to beijing some 2000 km away |
