i thought my lapper was coming today Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image! hopefully tomorrow I got my laptop back the other day finally after a hard drive two mother boards a heat sink and a DVD/cd drive Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image! 3 trips to circuit city and mailed 5 times to get fixed. |

I got my laptop back the other day finally after a hard drive two mother boards a heat sink and a DVD/cd drive Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image! 3 trips to circuit city and mailed 5 times to get fixed. You are lucky. One of my friend's bought her Gateway laptop from Staples in Denver, Colorado. Her DVD drive crapped out. She sent it out to the Staples in Bellingham, Washington. That Staples had no service center. Gateway just shipped out a replacement DVD drive and she had to get someone to do the DVD swap for her. It turned out to be me. I had to figure which screws to remove and which door to remove and how to remove the DVD drive. After about an hour of head scratching, I fixed her DVD drive. |

If I had the parts I would have been happy to fix mine, they broke a screw out of the bottom and put a cover on wrong. I had it in for repair a year or so ago also and they lost my card cover and scratched the inside. |
