Letterman's reaction is honest and really thought-provoking.
He brings up a very good point - WHY isn't Palin stepping up and continuing the campaign whilst Senator McCain does what he feels he needs to do in DC? Letterman makes no secret of his admiration for McCain in this clip (and McCain has been on the show before) but he is understandably miffed - and his irritation results in some very good questions and observations.
