I don't know why I love you like I do
I don't why, but I do I don't know why you thrill me like you do I don't know why, but you do You never seem to want my romancing The only time you hold me is when we're dancing I don't know why I love you like I do I don't know why, but I do You never seem to want my romancing The only time you hold me is when we're dancing I don't know why I love you like I do I don't know why, but I do |

This is the Harry Connick Jr version off of We Are In Love release back in 1990.
------------------ That certain night, The night we met, There was magic abroad in the air. There were angels dining at the Ritz, And a nightingale sang in Berkeley Square. I may be right, I may be wrong, But I'm perfectly willing to swear That when you turned and smiled at me, A nightingale sang in Berkeley Square. The moon that lingered over Londontown Poor puzzled moon, he wore a frown. How could he know that we two were so in love? The whole darn world seemed upside down. The streets of town were paved with stars, It was such a romantic affair. And as we kissed and said goodnight, A nightingale sang in Berkeley Square. When dawn came stealing up, all gold and blue To interrupt our rendez-vous, I still remember how you smiled and said, "Was that a dream? Or was it true?" Our homeward step was just as light As the tap dancing feet of Astaire, And like an echo far away A nightingale sang in Berkeley Square. ------------------------------------- We need more music like this. edit- actually the last two verses aren't in this version. More Harry Connick Jr.
--------------------------- I'll Dream Of You Again youtube doesn't have these songs so I'm posting the lyrics. I spent last night dreaming of your eyes And your hair kept getting in the way Your lips dropped in to tell me how you'd been But when I tried to kiss them My pillow told me I missed them Your voice dropped by and sang a lullaby And it was then I knew just what to do I'd fall asleep and then I'd dream of you again Your voice dropped by and sang a lullaby And it was then I knew just what to do I'd fall asleep and then I'd dream of you again Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image! |

Wow Doc, I'm impressed. Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image!
Little strange though because before the US $700 bailout issues, your posting about how China will take over the world. Then letting us know how our only option to prevent this is The Nuclear Option. And then now, when there's the CREDIT BUBBLE BURSTING in the US (and the subsequent stock market crashes all over the world) and you don't even flinch. It's like your ball room dancing and telling us, I told you so. Attention: REGISTER / LOGIN to view the image! |

Hello, Doc. I'm enjoying your thread. It's refreshing to see this musical side of you. I love jazz myself but I'll be captivated anyway by any wonderful guitar playing that resonates with me. I enjoyed the one with Mayer and Scofield and I also liked those of SRV. Thanks, Doc. See you 'round.

This is reminding me of old times. A significant other used to play Carlos Santana songs for me especially when we "spent time." Then, while still undressed he'd go and play his drums and give me a sampling of his talents...on the drums, that is! [laughing] OMG. Phew! Those were always memorable concerts. [sigh] |
