hahaha probably why my dad's all angry with me for voting NDP... He's voting conservative and thinks I should do the same. He says back when the NDP was in power, he kept getting laid off. Since the conservatives have been in power, he's had a steady job and good income and all that.

the thing is, in my opinion, every party has huge flaws. Now it's just a matter of which flaws I find most important... the reason I don't want to vote conservative is mainly because of their stance on the war in Afghanistan. I am completely against it, so that's influencing me the most. I just can't put that aside and vote for them because, well at least there will be jobs! As far as I've seen, this war has no positive outcomes and it's a waste of Canada's money, resources and human life.

The thing is, it's about friendship with regards to the Afghanistan war.

If all your friends were going, would you turn your back on them?

And if you sent your children to war, would not want to ensure that they had the best equipment to come back home safely?

Due to the global economic crisis, of which I am sure, you have heard about from your dad (talking with your mom), it is not somethine that happened in our lifetime (comparable to the Great Depression).

That said, if Liberals (Carbon Tax), NDP (Cap & Trade + more social funding = more taxes) or Green Party (which I like but terrible timing, as they too will raise taxes and implement the Carbon Tax), there will be many more job losses.

Due to global economic crisis, I value human life more than the environment.

People should be able to afford food for their tables (and jobs for them from businesses).

Do you honestly think that Jack Layton (NDP) can create jobs for people?

Do you think the CEOs of Ford, GM, Toyota etc will even listen to him?

I don't have any friends who would ever join the army though, so that just doesn't apply to me. I've been through a civil war which tore my country apart, and my values and beliefs are based on this experience. War is never a good idea, and there's always a secret hidden agenda behind every story fabricated by the government. It's actually to fight terrorism (Taliban & Alcada) & funding for terrorism (ie Poppy farmers producing Opium).

random question and way off topic, but do you know if a data CD labeled as a DVD-R can store photos on it? I'm giving away my desktop computer to my sister, but first I gotta save all my pictures... or do I need a specific photo cd?

You can use CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW to burn the photos on CD.

CD-R & DVD-R is best as it seems like CD-RW & DVD-RW does not work on all drives?

If you have Windows XP SP2+ (or Vista), then you should be able to burn using just the OS (otherwise get burning utility like Nero).

Go to Future Shop & pick up one of those 4GB USB Flash drives (they had a sale a while back for $9.95/each). They can hold quite a bit of photos and the transfer speed will be quite good using a USB2 port.

Anyway...

Remember to delete all your kinky stuff...
