Muri Peace Chilton, who is serving a life sentence for raping, killing and burning a 15-year-old Ontario girl while he was on parole for a horrific sex attack in Manitoba, has somehow won a mind-boggling lawsuit against the federal government.

Chilton was awarded $2,500 in damages because a prison official laughed at him after he cut his thumb.

The heartless murderer described the injury as “the most painful experience of his life,” and called the laughter that followed “beyond callousness” and damaging because he “felt utterly humiliated.”
