Franchised restaurants should be avoided

because they are owned by investors, not by restaurateurs. I've found that non-chain restaurants provide a better dining experience. A real restaurateur does not copy someone else's concept.

They are not owned by investors unless investors bought the franchise which is not uncommon.
A restaurateur simply owns restaurants and if you look at the most successful ones they are multi outlet with centralized mgmt and often centralized prep kitchens
Nothing wrong with franchised outlets, they make a lot of people a lot of money. There are of course duds but its a case of buyer beware.

Most, but not all, of the chain restaurants are crap. The owners, in particular, are very greedy and will use every cheap means to generate more profit. Take White Spot and Red Robins for example. The food there is crap, yet those dumbasses insist that the food there is "great". LOL. Ask any of the cooks there...if you don't believe me. Many of you are flat-out dumb (foreigners also have made the same remarks). That I know for sure.
Perhaps go to restaurants in the overseas and you'll notice that the quality of the food is much better there...and it is much cheaper. You suckers will eat your words.

I prefer family run restaurants. Or even cafes. They are different and unique. Especially if it is in the smaller towns, they take more pride in their food. Some people in my family have their own restaurants....the pizza they make there...is so much better than that chain sh!t...they actually put toppings on the pizza...unlike dominos who puts only 5 peices of peperoni on a med. pizza.
