I favor civil unions for Gay folks. But I do not favor legal marriage. Marriage has been reserved for couples of opposite sex through human history. There is absolutely no valid reason to change that now.

It has nothing to do with the ability to have legal rights, civil unions can handle all of those legal aspects.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck ... it's a goose?

So you are okay with it as long as they don't use the "straight word". Looking at marriage, what do you have. Two people who have made a pledge to each other to love, honor, cherish, support, blah blah blah, till death do them part. Then you look at gay people and they are doing the exact same things, making the exact same pledges, meeting the exact same defintion of married but how dare you call them married? If they are going to partake in civil unions, what does that make them? Unionized? No wait, that word is in use too!

Do you know what is normal OM? Definition adaptation in the English language. Word meanings are dynamic and evolve as time progresses. If you don't oppose gay marriage on any other level than you don't want to share a fking word, you are a selfish, pedantic moron.
