if say your company allows 7 paid sick days per year does it look bad if you take all 7? can a employer do anything about it? do you usually take all your sick days off?

Are you allowed to bank sick days from one year to the next? If not I'd use them.

no not allowed to bank them, i just feel guilty about taking them because i know management will notice my sick days are usually taken off in summer LOL

yes, it does look bad if you use all of them.
it helps to have a doctor's note confirming you were unable to work for medical reasons, each time you take the day off for sick reasons. even then, the employer might not look too kindly on it. |

Feel no guilt in taking your sick days that you are entitled to. Work isn't the be all end all.
And a Dr's note for each absence? C'mon. Who would go to the Dr. to get a note for an upset stomach or cold. This isn't elementary school we are talking about. |

at work they usualy ask for a doctor's note if you call in 2 or more consecutive days as sick
|

Then don't miss more then 2 days in a row. But I'd still use up all my sick days if they weren't allowed to be banked.
