The big deal running this torch across the country, but you can't do that with a cross to honor Jesus Christ?

They couldn't pass a cross aross the country, even a plastic one to save weight.

Guess a olympic torch is more important than a eternity in heaven.

Gee, thanks for that food and warmth Jesus, thanks for dying for our sins and loving us.

NOPE!

torch more important.

Maybe if you never asked Jesus into your heart you would make comments like this.

I see everyone like moths to a light-bulb over the torch and Olympics and everyone's cleaned the streets and everyone's got their brand-new clothes like everyone here is rich.

People work hard for money here, they get TAXED UP THE ASS!!

Wasting tax payers money and making profit for yourself should be a CRIME!!

If you make $4000 a month, you end up with $1800.

WTF

Then your 1800 gets TAXED UP THE ASS again, dry, for Carbon tax, GST, PST, Gas Tax, Environmental tax, tax tax tax!

Gas is over $1 @L

People are working for decades and have NOTHING to show for it.

Olympics are FAKE bullshit for weak minded people.

And to say the torch is more important than Jesus is typical of a weak minded person.

This is just dripping with irony, did you know that?

In spite of it being a gross generalization, weak minded people tend to be drawn to organized religions.... such as Christianity...

just sayin

All that baloney about Jesus "dying for our sins" is a private belief that can neither be proven nor disproven. And as for the food and warmth, I think the ECONOMY is more to be thanked for that. I don't know what you're beefing about. I don't think Canadian law forbids you to wear your cross in public. An olympic torch is real, whereas that "eternity in heaven" is a non-provable belief, a dogma.

Don't talk about your biblical teachings as if they were scientifically proven knowledge.

Worshiping the torch is a lot like a religion, except without the spiritual fulfillment.

That's debatable.

The torch relay even has a trinity: the RBC-wagon, the torch, and the holy Coke-wagon.

Prime Minister Harper just made a impromptu speech and he talked about how Canada is truly a Global Country and alluded to we are all connected to immigration by saying that when people visit here from other countries and they visit with their brothers or sisters who have become Canadians they will see what a great country this is.

I think Vancouver's own "Olympic Jesus" is more important than the flame, the video says it all, look it up on Youtube or join his fanclub on Facebook.
