no sweating has nothing to do with losing weight! the only way to lose weight is to burn more calories then is consumed! No pills, etc will work it is all crap. Just eat smaller portions then you usually do, try to cut out the higher fat foods, eat less meat, more vegtables[without butter] drink lots of water. Walk daily and if you can do it, try to excercise regularly, hard enough to get your heart pumping fast for at least 15 minutes to 1/2 an hour, a few times a week! start slow, with reasonable expectations!Good luck and Merry christmas!

Sweating is a physiological response to excess bodily heat. The body expels the excess heat via water evaporation aka sweating.
Excess heat can be produced internally through energy burning aka exercise or externally through absorption from the environment.Either cause will produce sweating. The only weight lost in sweating will be water weight from evaporation.
If you want to lose fat you must use more calories than you consume.Either reduce your calorie intake(diets) or increase your energy expenditure(exercise).
Sweating is a reaction to body heat temperatures and unless it's caused by exercise then you will not lose fat.Saunas cause water weight loss only.

If you mean 'sweating' as in 'from physical activity' then yes.
Cadio (=heart pumping) exercises burn calories and that means losing some fat. Your heart rate should be 180 minus your age and should last for at least 40 minutes (better 1 hour, even broken into 2x30minutes w/ 15-30 mins off).
If you just walk fast enough so that you break out some sweat that's OK. You can walk up a hill. Even in the City of Vancouver there are some hills. If you walk them up pretty quickly that should get your heart pumping. Once on top of the hill just keep walking fast trying to sustain the heart rate. On weekends walk up Grouse mountain (or any other trails on North shore). Go snowshoeing, cross country skiing, walk around Stanley park, along other beaches in Greater Vancouver, ... lots of nice places. Buy a bike, inline skates, ...

Better than reducing calorie intake (under some level) is exercising. You can cut maybe 500 calories from a normal sized meals that would fill you up and have extremely small portions which would make you feel hungry all day (you won't be able to focus on anything else besides your hunger - bid goodbye to high acceptable at work).
Through physical activity on the other hand one can burn easily 3-4x the saved 500 calories. So you see there is no point in cutting your calorie intake under healty level.
Dieting to the point you're hungry is no good. Your metabolism shut down and no matter how much you work out you won't lose any fat. Only muscles! Look at anorexic girls. They have no muscles. No look at Miss Fitness. Who would you prefer to look like?

People must learn to eat moderately to effectively lose weight. It seems as if as the American population increases, so do our appetites. In the past, a simple, leafy sandwich with a glass of milk was enough to satisfy our hunger. How, however, to fill ourselves up, we flat belly diet cookbook eat huge portions, large side entrées, and a gargantuan carbonated drink. If one walks into some fast food restaurants, one can get their meal enlarged or "Super sized". We must go back to our old ways of limiting our food intake. One should eat until there are full, not comatose.
We must not eat too much, but we should Flat Belly Diet Cookbook eat just enough to maintain our body's need for energy. Overeating has bigger ramifications than most people think. However, Americans became aware of this "overeating epidemic" when they "flocked to see Super Size Me, Morgan Spurlock's documentary about what happens when you eat nothing but McDonald's food for a month. Now McDonald's is discontinuing its Super Size option" (Lemonick).
Eating nutritional foods is necessary in order to successfully lose weight. A misconception people have is that they think it is okay to eat a whole box of chocolate chip flat belly diet cookbook cookies after enjoying a 5K run in the afternoon. This can be one of the worst things a person can do to his body. Although one exercises everyday of his life, one also has to eat healthy.

Yes you'll lose weight by sweating... As you're losing water - and water has a weight.
But you'll put it back on again the minute you drink something.
If you're trying to lose fat however, you need to NOT lose water, you need to take more on. The less fat you have in your body - the more water your body needs. Therefor the more hydrated you are - the more likely it is your body will "take the hint" and get rid of fat.
HOWEVER:
Losing too much water via sweating is BAD for you. As you'll be losing salt from your body - and salt is necessary for survival.
Drinking too much water can actually kill you. So dont go overboard with it.
