It's interesting but kind of gross at the same time.
What about getting burried together? I know some people who put the ashes of their loved one in the casket with them when they die. I don't think it will hold the same sentiment if there's just a diamond there.

Interesting idea.... a family ring could take on a whole new connotation

Would make awesome Christmas presents, prescious stone jewlery made from a prescious family member. Actually, that isn't a really bad gift considering there are many people who would keep their family's ashes anyway and this way they can have them there but looks much nicer. I would consider it. And I'm sure you could put the "prescious gem of Dad" on the mantel and not to actually wear him.

It is not as bad as buying the crypt above above Marilyn Monroe. The last bid for it was 4.5 million. I would rather use that bread while I'm living. The lady who owns it is selling it to pay off her mortgage of 1.6 million.

hahahaha, what a novel idea.
My sis & I have a joke gift that we've passed about the family for years..... it's a sweater, of the most dreadful sort, some rellie knitted the thing long ago, someone gets it every year!..... your idea sounds like it could finally take the place of the sweater to become the Christmas gag gift.....
