Unlocking CDMA Phones is not a myth. it is a fact. HOWEVER, it is not what you think. the phone needs to be reprogrammed, and needs a new MID, MDN, and A-Key code. Also, some carriers do not allow registering of phones on their service if the phone was not retailed by them. For example, on all Nokia CDMA phones, dial *3001#12345#. DO NOT PUSH THE SEND KEY. wait a few seconds, and the phone will show you the nam programming menu. go to NAM 2, and Select My Number (MDN). It will then ask you for a Service Programming Code, here you enter your Master Subsidary Lock and you are away. So It is possible to unlock a CDMA Phone, one just needs the MSL, MDN, MID, A-Key code, and a PRL from the carrier they wish to use. Other features such as SMS or MMS or Mobile web browser may not work as the phone would need to be re flashed every time you switch carriers.

I am going to Korea in a month and wondering if my Canadian Sasktel (Bell) CDMA LG phone will work on the CDMA network in South Korea. I'm sure I can get a good phone there, but I like having menus in Eglish :P

I live in Ottawa, I asked to use the phone at all the mobile companies, TELUS, BELL, VIRGIN..( I knew that Rogers and Fido use GSM phone) but they said "NO"
I have no Idea what to do.

I work for Rogers wireless and whenever I need to unlock phones

I get them unlocked by Bargain Cellular in Vancouver.

They do it online by codes and it is very quick, reliable and easy.

Usually get my codes in a couple hours.

www.BargainCellular.ca

They also have a hell of a lot of Unlocked phones if anyone is interested.

Pretty competitive pricing too.

Hope this helps,

Cheers!

Hey i got the nokia 6265i from telus and i was wondering if any one had the service programing code for the phone to do that. Telus would give it to me even though i have purchased a legit ringtone maker.

I purchased a CDMA LG VX8550 chocolate phone on the verizon US network of ebay to use on my bell mobility network in Ontario, Canada. I did this with another phone in the past I bought off ebay and there was no problem setting it up on the Bell network. I know both networks are cdma. Is there any reason why this verizon cdma phone can't be activated on the Bell mobility network (cdma)? Is there any way to make it work on the Bell network? Thanks

I just Unlocked a RAZR2 V9 from Fido online.

After a lot of research and emailing Online Unlockers I decided to go with www.Freeyourcellphone.com

Very Pleased with Free Your Cellphone's service.

The price was cheap and they were Pleasant to buy from.

Was wondering, you mentioned that you work for Telus. My phone was just stolen (along with my purse)....Motorola KRZR...can it be reactivated or re-programmed? I have told Telus it's stolen and they cancelled any service to it. What can people do with the information on it? What are the chances someone will find it? Oh why do people do this!!!

Whoever you are "Jenerella", you are the asshole who stole my purse last January. Don't bother trying to reactivate the phone, Telus has cancelled it and will report it to me if someone tries to reactivate it. %$@#! you for stealing my purse and then having the audacity to impersonate me to get my phone reactivated. By the way, thanks for downloading a bunch of shit on it before I had a chance to cancel it. No worries though, I've been a Telus customer for over 12 years and they had no problem waiving the cost. Hope it was worth it to you. Too bad you are a worthless piece of shit that has to prowl around bars and steal other people's property. We found the other purse you stole with everything but the cash in it. I understand why you left that one behind, it belonged to a cop. When I found it tucked behind the toilet in the Men's washroom, I turned it into the bar. When the woman who you stole it from saw me looking for mine, asked me what I was doing, I told her, and we swapped stories. She was kind enough to give me $50 in return for turning in her purse and I was able to get home that night. You caused me a lot of grief that night, but no worries, I have everything replaced and all is well. I have the peace of mind knowing that what goes around, comes around, and you'll get what's coming to you. :o)
