A few years ago, I saw some fashion programme on tv with Jeanne Becker, saying that VAncouver is becoming a fashion center. Many designers are gravitating to Van, there's a designer institute here, & fashions shows are being put on here. Haven't heard much about that since, but with a population as large as this, it's very likely.

In the same tv series, I heard the same about Novosibirsk (New Siberia) in Russia.
