yea you know I'm thinking switching to Telus tv too. We're paying like over $40 a month for channels 1-28, 63-68, and 83-93.

This is what I hate about Shaw...you have to get all these stupid packages...I also found over time they were slowly raising my bill. You should call them (or whoever you are connected with) and ask them for a cheaper rate or you will switch to Telus because they offered you a cheaper better deal....(don't say anything about this bogus deal...just tell them straight up what you want or you will switch..) see what they say.

Telus called me and offered my deal because I have some bills for some other things I use and I always pay bills on time....so I was considered a "prefered customer"...not only did Telus offer me this cable at such a low rate....they lowered my other bills monthly for me aswell. Oh, they are also giving me the box for free....I can fast forward TV and record with it too....they are doing a free full hook up for me.

I see the flyers they send me in the mail....their rates are still cheaper than Shaw. Shaw is getting to be over the top....when I moved into my new place just the previous July...Shaw had to come in a hook up my cable....such a terrible job...the wires are popping out of the hole in the wall and the cover isn't on properly...and the cord had to be run to across the room....he didn't even screw it to the wall...it left it all sticking out so someone could trip over it. Not impressive for the cost.

The problem with living in a condo - is that the cable people are more or less dictated to you by who has their wires in your building...

Hopefully with a bit more competition though things will sort themselves out.

in the meantime i'll go without tv quite happily.

Oh you're one of those no TV freaks eh?

What a surprise that is!

With having kids....it's manditory that you have some cartoon channels!! It comes in great when you need to get stuff done on some days...there are even days you will need them! Last year when it snowed I was stuck indoors for quite a few days....those cartoons channels came in handy!! Watching the same movies over and over again can get boring.

What a dumb story.

Did I say Surrey? I should have said Hamilton, Ontario.

I get the impression that you like to de-rail topics by trying to talk down to people as if you're better than they are.

But yes.. i dont subscribe to cable.. I did when i first moved here. But soon got bored of the same old same old. Truth is that no tv show here holds a candlelight to the stuff i grew up watching in the uk. That's not to say that CURRENT uk tv is any better - in fact it's now gone the same way of reality tv crp and importing awful tv shows from the states..

.. But occasionally british tv gets the odd gem... i wish i could say the same about americ.. whoops.. i mean canadian tv (not that there really is such a thing as canadian tv - apart from corner gas and littlest hobo)

American tv is crp. 100 channels and at least 30 of them at any one time in showing family guy/simpsons or south park. Screw it. I have better things to do in my life than watch crp shows.

I put him in the Kaylee category months ago, on the ignore list and never, ever open the post.

I'm surprised they haven't banned him, contributes nothing to the forum but a repeated poor attempts at instigation.

I watch Vampire Dairies on channel 14 every Thursday night at 8pm. The new remake V debuted last night, it was good.
