You don't need a counter top dishwasher.

That sounds like something that someone in Maple Ridge would buy.

Danby seems to be the only model around -- I find that odd. Anyone know of other models to compare

(thanks for the link)

I am quite sure you do not. You are being lazy. I do my cooking dishes while i am still cooking. If you don't let the food dry on it, it is a breeze to wash. I think a dish washer is even sillier than a leafblower.

yeah I have done that too, and I don't have a double sink which would be best -- plus I go through phases of mass soup making and other baking stuff to freeze, and the current stop to that is "to hell with the dishes" so I don't do it anymore.

That's the same attitude as most people on welfare/disability. You give up and don't want anything around you to be beautiful, because it isn't yours. Even if you have to live in it everyday. You are afraid if you improve it they will rent it out for more. Sad.

lol are you on crack? I am not on welfare or dissability and I am not going to pay for renovations for some people who will benefit, not reimburse, not do the work and then raise rent.

LOL

I did get them to paint however.

Hand washing you can always scrub off stains, not to mention if there only a couple ppl living in your home waiting hours or over a day for dishwashers to fill up mostly stains will already dry up. It's only worth it if you have a huge family.

Men and household chores... hm. Myself, I always think more of a man if he can go grocery shopping, make a cup of tea, cook his own food, house cleaning and all that other stuff and he doesn't mind doing it and can do a good job of it. :) I think everybody should have some basic house keeping skills, you never know when you might need it.

I wash my dishes by hand in the sink and let them dry in the dishwasher racks.

I'm big on filling the pot/pan with steaming hot soapy water, I come back after eating and all the grime just pours out.
