Hey, there's a good korean salon called Juno ( besides Tofu Soup)on lougheed hwy.  She is very good and she doesnt charge much, price range is around 100 dollars but you have to pay cash.  However, it would be very helpful if you have a friend who can speak korean because she doesnt speak much English at all and it would be hard for both of you to communicate. I didnt know when before went, good thing there were some of her customers who can speak korean and English otherwise I wouldnt know what to do. You also need to have patience, she is very busy and it takes at least 3 hours but its totally worth it. 

I am from Victoria but I am going to Vancouver in a few weeks and I am hoping to get my hair straightened there. If you know of a good salon in Victoria that does straight perm for less than $250 please let me know too! i don't speak Japanese but I don't really mind if the stylists can't speak English very well and my hair is only slightly wavy so not a lot of skill is required. So it really all comes down to the pricing for me...My hair is around 17" long and I've highlighted it last year, I don't know if they would change anything though. If you have anything else to tell me about straightening my hair, then please do!

ps. Does strightening make you lose a lot of hair?  Would my hair stay straight until new hair grows out?  Some people told me that all perms are horrible for your hair but a lot of ppl said that their hair became healthier after it got straightened, which one is right?
