For those people experiencing more severe symptoms like vomiting I would think it is just that this is such a drastic change for your body?

I bought the cookbook, and found the recipes to be really good.I went shopping before starting the cleanse and bought everything I would need for the recipes. i haven't had to repeat recipes yet(except breakfast). the food takes a bit to prepare because it is all fresh, but its simple to cook. for a fast breakfast, an egg on a rice cake is pretty good.I find I don't get snacky at all, and am satisfied with the food on the list. so far, the cleanse has been worth it because i've found some habits i'd like to keep, and im learning to cook different dishes. i do hope that i will see a difference in my body and how i feel, but i'm very healthy as is, so I guess subtle changes is all I can expect.

I like the egg on rice cake idea. I have been snacky a few times in the evening, and I've found making a bit of popcorn with some butter and salt hits the spot. I am going to get some polenta on the weekend as I think that will work as another alternative for meals. I love the recipes I've tried so far - everything is full of flavour and not heavy. We also eat very healthily normally, so it's really just been fun to try new recipes. The no flour thing was a bit hard but rice cakes are a great alternative. So far so good! Good luck to everyone else.

I'm sort of finding it difficult because of the choice of foods, I never realized how much I loved my breads, sugar and dairy, especially cheese, but strong determination is helping me to get through this.
I find that taking the horse pills with a tiny bit of pure juice helps, and to do the drops, I put them in about 2oz of pure juice, plug my nose and do it shooter style. It's really the only way that I can keep it down since I have a sensitive gag reflex.
I bought some frozen fruits in a bag and take out about 2 days worth and let it thaw and have that for a few breakfasts. I'm fairly stumped at what else to have, I guess eggs are ok, so that would work for me. I've boiled some eggs and put them in my fridge for a snack. I think preparing some snacks in advance that you know you can have while on the detox helps significantly.

I haven't done the wild rose cleanse but have done many others and recently have discovered a cleanse that I will be doing for the rest of my life. I lost and kept off for over 8 months, 9 lbs, I sleep deeper and have bounds of energy and people are always telling me how glowing my skin is. I was at a workshop this weekend and 3 different people told me this. From what I now know about cleansing, so many cleanses contain purgatory herbs that take the good bacteria out of the body as well as the bad bacteria. Cleanses like the master cleanse just totally strip the body of nutrients and then put the body into starvation mode. The cleanse I discovered totally floods your body with nutrients while cleansing so your body burns toxic fat, not muscle. You can find out more information at www.endlessenergy.ca you will even get a free cleansing coach that will help you to get your best results.

I'm on day 3 of the Wild Rose detox. It's my first time doing any type of detox and I thought I'd share my experience so far:
Day 1 - Felt fine, no notable symptoms or changes except for a minor headache in the evening.
Day 2 - Around same as day 1 except the 'cleanse' symptoms are starting (i.e. diarreah).
Day 3 - Sooo tired this morning, could barely drag myself out of bed. I'm also feeling nauseous and still have diarreah... not fun. Also have very little appetite this morning.
So far, I haven't found the food choices difficult or had any cravings. In fact, due to the nausea and diarreah today I have no appetite at all! Better stay hydrated... I hope today is the worst because I am not feeling good at all, almost like a hangover :/
Oh yeah, the right side of my jaw hurts too... I wonder if it's any connection to the detox?

I did this cleanse about a month ago and it just worked wonders for me. I lost weight, I had lods of energy and all in all it was easy and forced me to not go out to eat at restaurants. For me it is not just a cleanse it is a way of life. Of course I will only do this cleanse from now on every 3 months! It is just fantastic. Stick with it! Trust me! This is the easiest cleanse out there.
Trick for liquid: Try is with a couple of tbs of V8
Oooh off to the bathroom!

you are buying into total bullshit. your body is designed to naturally cleanse itself. there are no 'hazardous toxins' in your body. ask any real doctor.

I'm a 48 year old women who has never done a "cleanse" before and I must say that so far so good on the Wild Rose Detox. I'm just on day 3 and woke up this morning feeling more energetic and clear headed than I have for a long time. I jumped on the scales and had already lost 5 pounds - maybe water but it feels good! I did not need to be as close to the bif today as the last 2 days which I found kind of odd as I thought I'd be running all the time. I'm finding the diet part hard but then I was never one for diets in the past either. I know, buck up babe! Carrots and almonds are now my best friends for snacking. I'm going to have to become more creative with my meals or I will go completely crazy. Already, I'm brown riced out! Wish me luck!

I found this woman's story to be helpful on the Master Cleanse:

I too have documented my "transitions" on my blog.
I think the cleanse is great. But timing is everything....few more days to go.

I've done the detox a few times and I've enjoyed it everytime. It's easier if you focus on the foods that you CAN eat, and try to mix them up. Here are a few foods that have helped me get through it:
breakfast:
- oatmeal (whole oats, without sugar), cooked with soy milk (unsweetened), sliced apples and slivered almonds
- omlette made with sauted onions, garlic, tomatoes and peppers - more veggies than eggs
- popped grain cereals (I like the organic kamut) in a bowl with sliced strawberries [apples and pears work too] and slivered almonds, with soy milk
- rice cakes topped with almond butter and a slice of apple
lunch
- homous and baba ganoush on brown rice cakes or as a dip for carrots
- rice cakes topped with avocado, tomato and cucumbers
- small cans of tuna, flavoured with lemon and pepper - it's good on a green salad, or on rice cakes topped w/ veggies
** get the Bragg soy sauce. It's not fermented and wheat free, so it's allowed.
dinner
- stir frys with chicken or fish. use Bragg soy sauce for seasoning
- lentils with brown rice; green salad on the side with olive oil
- quinoa with stir fry or anything else on the side. quinoa is also good cooked with lentils
- roasted squash, sweet potato, yam etc, with fish

They're great with almond butter smeared all over them and then with some sliced apple on top. Or with avocado and tomato. Yum, Yum.
I see that some on here have done the master cleanse. Did you find yourself tired on it? I tried it and felt like I was going to die - is this b/c I wasn't drinking enough of the lemonade? It seems odd that everyone else seems to be fine on it. I wasn't hungry but found work to be difficult in that it drained me of all energy ... is this a normal reaction that passes after a few days?

I thought it would be hard to stay on the meal plan but I spent a week before starting finding as many recipes as possible that would be acceptable and I'm now enjoying healthy meals I might never have tried before.
I've noticed that my clothes aren't feeling as tight as they did over the holidays. Friends have told me how great my skin looks and that I look like I've lost some weight. It's a nice thing to hear and helps to keep me going.

I am going on the cleanse again this week after all the holiday festitives (now we'll see what happens). I would recommend this cleanse for anyone that is able to do it.

I would highly recommend the recipe book - it has some great recipes, some I've eaten even while not on the cleans - the curried rice salad is awesome. Otherwise brown rice and salmon gets boring pretty quick.

I had to push it aside half way thru the bowl as it hasn't helped matters much. Are there any juices that are acceptable? I'm going to look for the receipe book. Thanks again.

I am finding breakfast the hardest, I usually like something sweet. I have been having Red River Cereal with berries, it's not too bad, but I'm looking for some variety.

Update:
The major issues I was having was due to stomach flu. It is going thru the rest of my family currently and they are not d-toxing. Mild cramping continues

What I have noticed is a very mild headache for one day, and trips to the throne more often, and by 9 oclock I'm ready for bed (I am normally a night owl!).
I'm dreaming more vividly also. Sure there's not hallucinegenics in those horse pills? They sure taste awful. I have to plug my nose to take them...can't do it with the liquid drops though..stuff is foul.
I really am enjoying the recipes in the detox book. Never used cumin in soup much before...livens things up. I find once you know what's expected, you can adapt some of your recipes along the same lines..ie...rice milk instead of milk..etc.
So far I feel pretty good on this adventure.

- The first 2 days I felt a bit "funny".
- I've had a few really mild headaches along the way, but overall, I feel pretty good. - I haven't been going to the washroom more than normal... in fact, probably LESS than usual.
- This is going to sounds crazy but Indian food and blueberries are probably the only things that got me through this!!! Between the oatmeal for breakfast and salads and nuts for lunch, at least I had tasty curries dinners and blueberries for dessert to look forward to at the end of the day!
- I almost caved today when someone offered me Godiva chocolate-covered pretzles. I'm tellin' ya, I was thiiiiiis close!
3 more days.... 3 more days... 3 more days.......

I know what you mean.
Around the office there were two birthdays happening this week. That means two birthday cakes in the staff room that the staff was invited to indulge in. Except me and my friend. Why this week? Then another employee dumped liquor chocolates and another decedent box of assortments in the staff room. Then tomorrow night I just about got invited to go see a band at a club and visualized myself drinking water all night instead of my favorite vodka and cranberry drink...but luckily it fell through.
I am feeling great today though. More energy than I have had since I started the meal plan and the kit. Yesterday I zonked out at 9:30..I was so tired. But today's totally different.
I'm thinking alot clearer too...and it's only day 5.
Dude,
Have you been drinking lots of water? Go easy on the nuts too, that might help.
