OOOOO (1)

Lynn Canyon Park originally 12 acres in size, now encompasses an impressive 617 acres filled with many hiking trails of varying length and difficulty. The forest in dominated by Douglas fir, western hemlock and western red cedar. Before logging activities in the 1800’s many of the trees in this area reached 90 meters in height and 11 meters in circumference.

As you walk through the park, you will notice some of the stumps remaining from these huge trees. Many still show the springboard notches used by early loggers when cutting down the tree.

Rangers patrol the canyon daily from 11am - 7pm, May through September. The Consession stand is open April to October - Public telephone and washrooms available.
