Greyhound Vancouver
The Pacific Central Station, located at the corner of Main and Terminal near the Main Street/Science World SkyTrain station is the terminal for Grayhound Lines, Pacific Coach Lines and three trains: ViaRail, Amtrak and the Rocky Mountaineer. It also has a Hertz car rental kiosk.
ViaRail Trains and Tours
ViaRail is Canada’s national passenger railroad. It offers year round trains between Vancouver and Jasper, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto and other major cities in central and eastern Canada.
Amtrak Vancouver
Amtrak offers passenger service between Vancouver and many destinations in the United States. The route between Seattle and Vancouver is one of Amtrak’s most popular. There is one round trip train each day.
West Coast Express
West Coast Express is Vancouver’s Commuter Rail system. Currently, there is one line between the Vancouver Waterfront east to Mission B.C.. Like many commuter systems, West Coast is set up as a “round trip” system, offering travel only in one direction at peak travel times. In the case of Vancouver, westbound trains only run in the morning, then head east in the afternoon.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Vancouver has a number of transportation options involving ferries and boats since the city is surrounded on three sides by water. If you’re a visitor, or even a local, you’ll find that much of the boat transportation is fun even if you have no particular destination.
Translink (Vancouver Public Transit)
The most common buses are the city buses operated by Translink. City buses run frequently and can get you most places in the city quickly, inexpensively and conveniently. The city buses are linked to both the SeaBus, a ferry that crosses the Burrard Inlet between Vancouver and the North Shore, and the SkyTrain, an elevated train that travels between Vancouver and Surrey with 20 stops along the way.
